I’ve always just called genitals by their names and sex what it is in my house, and around my children. I don’t deal in codes and secrets around sex I. Terms of talking about it with my children or around my children. I have always wanted them to know that their body parts have appropriate names and aren’t cutesie things with nicknames that adults have rights to rename or involve themselves with. That kids have autonomy over their own bodies. That sex isn’t something to be hidden or whispered about and that it’s normal and healthy for consenting people of age to do, and masturbation and exploring our own bodies is normal and okay in our own safe spaces also.
I’ve gone off on a tangent I know. Moving on.![]()
