I don't have cable or satilite TV... just local stations...

NO ONE has war news on, just sports and informercials/

So does that mean that the war is over?

Please?

I am so sick of seeing Ted Koppel in desert camo's I could puke...

Nope. I'll call ya when it's over.

Thank you Lukky...

I hate to be outta the loop just 'cause I am too cheap to have cable. :)

No problem. I'm pretty dubious, though, so I may want to take an hour or two in the verification phase, not just call ya at the first sign of a picture of Marines raising a flag in Baghdad, OK?

Post it in Dixon's surrender thread. I picked a week from Monday, 8PM EST.

I did not see this thread, I shall have to go 'vestigate. I assure you if there's any way to throw the timing in your favor I will do so. What do we win?

 Who would manipulate images?

An admiral or general... I forget which who wanted the first Iwo Jima flag... the one we saw going up was a replacement... Ed Rosenthal was the lucky photographer who got the famous picture...

In softball they would be invoking the slaughter rule about now or last week. Not much of a war imho. I mean, was there ever any doubt.

Pseudo PSurabachi....

of course.... besides even that famous picture was a replacement flag ya know

Yeah, but the BIG Bronze in DC is absolutely marvellous - esp. just before sunset with your Great Republic's flag waving proudly, Dahling! :D

Don't you just abhor the way nature ignores the rest of us?

Its a wonderful picture.. the triangluation of images is just about perfect....

Theres a terrific book written about it... Flag of Our Fathers... written about the six men who raised the flag... Only 3 of whom survived Iwo Jima...

It's also a pretty cool monument, but I don't suggest getting inebriated and then trying to climb it.

Personal story? Share :D

It was a more-or-less random sandstorm, too. Who would have expected that in the freakin Iraqi desert?
