Is it necessary to include sexual intercourse?

EDIT: Changed the title from "Is it important to end with a sex scene?" to "Is it necessary to include sexual intercourse?" Getting a lot of comments like, "Well if you just want to write non-erotic romance stories go somewhere else." By "sex" I didn't mean all sexual things but specifically sexual intercourse. For example, if an exhibitionist/voyeur story doesn't end in sexual intercourse, that doesn't necessarily make it non-erotic and romantic.

Sounds like you know what kind of story you want to write. Go ahead and do so.

So...as a piggyback for this post...

Who thinks a 750 word story (for the contest) that has no sex in it, but deals with a Daddy/little BDSM relationship is going to bomb?

EDIT: It also deals with magic and Good v Evil...and Wizards...so I'll likely post it in Fantasy..but given the Daddy/little it COULD go in BDSM..
