Is it March yet?

On another note. I may be a bit late with my Earth Day contest story. I hit a large brick wall with the "Celebrating Mother Earth" story. I'm waiting for my characters to tell me what they want to do. ;) (So that may be an Earth Day 2007 submission!)

I have started another tale. Only a page into it so far. I work later tomorrow, so I have the day to write! We'll see how this goes!!

Now that's a scary thought! Non Erotic Horror. lol

well, thought we haven't been innundated with Britney stories lately ( thank goodness), time to toss her fans - if there are any left - a bone.

Rather than Mother Earth, how about Father Earth and Baby Earth? I suppose it might end up going in the gay male dorection, but I'm thinking more group sex. Two guys coerced into dressing as Earth for an Earth Day event. Maybe the women give them sex as an incentive, maybe it involves wardrobe malfunction....

for anyone with a half done Valentine's day story in their word processor...how about Cupid mischieviously strikes a non couple who happen to be in the same spot on Earth Day?

lol That's cute. :) I do have a cupid tale in the works for next year. It involves other Greek Gods too. :)

One final Idea:

how I wrote " Hard to Write", a Valentine's Story a few years ago:

A Lit writer with a block, unable to find a fresh angle on the contest theme. In my story, I had him discuss the theme with his wife, get into it that way. For this contest, maybe might be a hiking partner of a platonic sort ( but why are they discussing erotic writing? that's the challenge)....

This is actually a cute idea. Kind of like erotic Steven King to have a character in the story an author too. :)

I don't think I'd classify his tales as erotic horror. At least, I've never found anything very erotic in what I've read by him.

guess I just have a dirtier mind

I have a dirty mind. :) And I do enjoy erotic horror. I just don't remember anything erotic in what I've read by him. :(

And on another note, I'm almost finished with Hot Blood. (A collection of erotic horror short stories.) Most have been boring. Not very erotic. And not very horrific. :(

A story about a pagan Viking and his interaction with a Native tribe in Vinland that his Christian Viking neighbors pissed off by desecrating a sacred forest- would that sound good?

I would so love to do a Viking (or Pirate) story!! But I fear my real knowledge of the culture would make for a poor story. Call me crazy, if you must (;)), but I do try to add realism in stories I write.

If there's an important detail I don't know well, I'll try to research it. If I fear I wouldn't be able to do a topic justice, I won't write it.

You fear you won't do it justice? I've never been to an island, but I can imagine what paradise would be for me. :)

I've been to islands, but never to paradise.

to my surprise, I scraped together what I thought would be a 1200 to 1600 word Earth Day misadventure. It grew to 5000 words. I submitted a few hours ago, wil post a link once I know it is up.

Man, even when I do devote time to writing I can't write that much so quickly!! How do you do it? :)

I try to have time after my shower each morning to do 200 words. If I don't, I try to cach up the next day. Weekends when others sleep I write more.
