an empty whisky bottle beside you?

My story seems to be heading in strange directions. ;)

Welcome to the Ernest Hemingway's school of writing. ;)

Well, my experience in this area is somewhat limited. But I think you might do better with a partly empty bottle beside you. Hey, it would at least be worth a try :)

I suppose it all depends on where the contents of that now empty whiskey bottle are.

I don't normally indulge, but tonight was one of those nights, and I began to understand Mr. Hemingway.

I had two college friends, roommates.

One of them drank out of a fancy old-fashioned decanter with a crystal knob top that he had found at a garage sale.

The other drank out of some glass 'potions' bottles that he had unearthed at some D&D conventions.

The former preferred tea, loving it whenever somebody tried to rat on him for drinking and he could show the CA that it was just tea.

The latter liked to drink powerade, gatorade, and other brightly colored drinks out of his 'potions' glasses.

So the empty Whiskey bottle means nothing to me. You could just be quaffing iced tea for all I know.

That depends entirely on the quality of the whiskey and who is responsible for emptying the bottle ;)

Stories go where they must. Best to just hang on for the ride.

I've done that, combined with less than five hours of sleep. Turned out pretty well for me.

I wrote half my SWB series using JD as my muse. When really hammered I'm a hell of a story teller, all I need to do is spend an hour or so fixing the typos the next day, but the story elements are surprisingly coherent.

As well as can be expected I suppose. The gravity on this planet is a bit too strong. Something around .8g would be perfect. :D

How you doin doll?

Well.

My dad is having a fish fry to dispense of the 75 pounds of halibut and salmon that he caught in Alaska.

:catroar:

Dear Reader

TEX is our resident expert of determining if the glass is half empty or half full. But he has to do it with one eye closed.

Judging from this thread, looks like I'm a lightweight. I usually write with either a full pot of coffee or glass full of Pepsi Max beside me.:D

Thanks

Half of my attempts at humor just don't get across.

And now they are dissing the matrix (and inception!) over in the 'most overrated' thread.

The first Matrix? What the hell is wrong with them? That's a classic. Honestly I could take or leave part 2, but three was good.

Oh, well like the saying goes, look at the source.
