What is it about this country that we can't appreciate defense?

baseball was at its best when roids were rampant and guys like Brady Anderson were hitting fifty homers.

And please don;t get me going on what that asshole is doing to the NFL he won;t stop until every game is 49-42and no one is allowed to tackle a QB or a receiver.

I love hockey since they made it much faster paced a few years ago, I have no issue with it being low scoring.

My problem with soccer isn't the lack of scoring; it's the lack of scoring CHANCES. I've seen 1-0 hockey games with combined 70+ shots on goal, simply because both goalies were lights-out. In soccer, on the other hand, it is entirely possible for a team to go an entire game without taking a shot on goal. What the hell's up with that?

I couldn't agree more. That's why there are no NHL teams in Zimbabwe. The great nation of Zimbabwe has too much integrity to allow such a sport to be contested upon its territory. Further compounding the problem is a general lack of functioning ice rinks.

The NHL has reverted back to a slower style with more clutching and grabbing and interference. The officiating is dreadful.

Personally, a 2-1 NHL playoff game is the greatest hockey ever. When I watch "classic" NHL games I find them boring. No hitting, no physicality.

The pic is AFL (Aussie Rules Football). I think they call rugby league footie too. Maybe they call soccer footie sometimes as well. They are pretty mixed up down there. They have Christmas during the summer. Talk about wierdos.

On that, what's so great about the "Original Six" anyway? There were more than six teams in the league prior to World War II, so they aren't even really the Original Six. If it makes a difference to you that's great, but to me any team that entered the league prior to the 1970s is just as special. I call them all the Original Twelve.
