I am new here, a friend turned me on to the site. Thought maybe some of you could help. I have a significant other (male) who has never shown an interest but I like to dominate. Any pointers on what I should do to "break him in" without scaring him off?

Have you noticed submissive traits in him?

I have noticed some, he tends to like me on top. He also tends to like when I initiate. I have spanked him a little and he doesn't seem to mind.

So ... start offering him rewards when he does things you like, start denying him when he does things you don't like & see how he takes it ... if he seems to like it, then talk to him about it ... tell him you've noticed that he likes some things & see if he would like to try more ...

Just some thoughts that I had after I posted before - some things to suggest trying (if you haven't already tried them) - bondage, sensory deprivation (blindfolds, music playing so he can't hear or earplugs either one), paddling or flogging (with a light flogger - don't get the big massive scary one right off the bat :p) instead of spanking ... stuff like that ...
