In response to the seemingly overhwelming number of stories featuring big breasted women, I have to ask: do people (especially guys) only find big breasts attractive? I suppose I could also ask the same about well endowed men as well. Is there an obsession with genital endowment? Do women have to have big breasts to be attractive? Do men have to have big penises for the same reason?

The stories here are fantasies and fantasies require fantastic proportions.

That's the simplistic answer, but there seem to be a lot of "male fantasy" type stories here which prove the truth of the simplistic approach.

There do seem to be many authors who feel that ordinary people of ordinary proportions aren't worth writing about -- their characters have to be "exceptional" to be worth mentioning. Unlike real life where it's ordinary people they have relationships with.

I for one would prefer real proportions.

The look on a real life woman after seeing a 22inch cock attached to her lover to be, I doubt would be one of lust.

And I for one as a true lover of the female chest, would probably cringe in fear of suffocation over the amply endowed females in some of these stories.

irrelevant

I have just submitted my first two stories under the name "Professor" and I don't mention breast size. If I meet someone I like, whatever breasts come with the woman are fine with me. There are a lot of sexually uninteresting women with large breasts, small too. Seems irrelevant to me.

Size

I suspect that for some men - breast size matters. But that goes both ways. I remember one guy telling me he hated big breasts. For my perspective, it is of minimal inportance. When I look at the stories I have written (not all submitted yet), I don't think I mention breast size at all. If I do it is more vague and in passing. I tend to focus more on the reaction than the size.

Now I would say all men are preoccupied with Penis size.

Side stepping sizes.

Successful erotica fucks with the head. That may sound glib but it's true.

Implied size allows the reader to fill in the blank whether it be my description of my "ample tits" are a 34C or a 44EEE--whether or not my partner's erected genitalia is a "normal" eight or nine inches or some outlandish 1 foot plus size. If the story moves, it won't really matter and the reader can supply all the necessary information.

Story still comes first.

I understand all your points, hell I've even thought of them myself. It's just that it seems that so many authors who post on Lit. interrupt their story by talking about genitalia - making it large and giving exact measurments: which I must say I was guilty of in part in my early stories. By starting this thread I merely wished to bring it to attention, hopefully so that there would be a little less of the stereotypical male (or female) fantasy.

Not a big deal

I really don't think size matters. If I read that he's got a 15 inch long penis and she's got breasts that they don't even make bras for...I'm laughing, not getting turned on. Large yes. Grossly out of proportion with the rest of the body, no. To me the 15 inch penis man is also about 10 feet tall and several hundred pounds and it's just sort of sags of fat. And that poor woman walks around in tears trying to hold them up with a cast iron bra and she can hardly walk because her whole body is rounded.

This goes along with the idea that if barbie was a real woman she wouldn't be able to stand or have her period and wouldn't be let out of the hospital because she would be too ill.

Barbies body is so physically out of proportion she would not be able to stand. She wouldn't be able to hold up her chest with the rest of her body...it isn't that her breasts are that big rather that her waist is that small and the rest of her body, her legs are to tiny, she couldn't stand either.

I disagree witha few of the points here and agree with a few others...first of all, no successful fiction "fucks with the head" whether its erotica or not--I'm disagreeing with the initail statement, not the overall point. You're right, Ulyssa, that vagueness helps the reader become a part of the story by giving him/her the chance to create their own image..."Fucks with the head" just implies some sort of demented game...

Anyway, as far as breast size goes...any size breast is a good size...many of the writer's here are excellent at what they do and submit stories that present that, others, the majority, sadly, present stories that are obviously geared toward what they think we want to read, and that's always what porn tends to represent when the case is erotic fiction. That makes penises all over ten inches and breasts...well, had Magellan sailed around them instead of the world, his old ass would still be sailing...
THe point is this...don't judge the good writers based on the bad ones...some of us write erotica, some write written porn. I'll not knock either...but they're nothing alike.
In erotica, story comes first...in porn, the writer may not even be fully literate.

My opinion on breasts is this: I prefer smaller to average size. I prefer one in each hand, without too much left over. That's just me...I'm not criticizing anyone's tastes...and if I don't get what I want in that arena, it's cool, because I know I'm not perfect either, y'know?

And the penis size issue...yes, men are mostly preoccupied with penis size, but that's because women are too. It's your judgements and pleasure we're concerned with...and many women pass harsh judgements in that area, even when it isn't necessarily warranted. And to illustrate how much we care, check out BrassMonkey's last post...he capitalized "Penis."

Pffft. You're so wrong. LOL. I saw a man on stilts a month ago at a street painting festival. His legs were WAY out of proportion, with the rest of his body, and yet he was able to step neatly around people with no problem. I'm willing to bet he could have held two cantaloupes in his hands and still managed to stand.

Yes, Barbie is unnaturally proportioned, but as any large-breasted woman could tell you, even though tits are heavy, it's not like they have their own gravitational pull.
