Since I can't go myself, obviously, could or would someone go look at some thing for me? One of the drawbacks of internet shopping is that you can't examine things in person to see what, if anything, is made of plastic.

I was shopping for one of those grill things because Schinnen doesn't have any, of course. The only AAFES facility in a two hour drive, and they don't have shit. Anyway. I'm shopping around on the net to find the best deal. I'm looking at Target because you gotta start some where. I found a drink mixer that I would very much like to buy hubby to surprise him with. Here's where the volunteer part comes in. :) I need eyes to go look at it and tell me if the mixer part that you stick in the drink is plastic or metal. I think plastic would break more easily than metal.

Here's the link so you know what you're looking at.

I can't offer anything more than my heartfelt thanks for doing me this favor.

Please?

I'm going to WalMart in the next hour or so, I'll check to see if they have one there.

my brother works at target. when i pick him up this afternoon i will take a look.

URG!! If you say Walmart again, I know wher you live.:p

I actually own that puppy, and it has a metal wand. However, the spinners are plastic.

We don't use it much, but it is neat and hasn't broken at all.

Spinners are platic. Well. Hrrmmm. If you guys still want to look, that's great. But Starfishie answered my question. Thanks so much for offering. You guys are very kind. :)

Maybe they should go on and look for you. This was given to us about three years ago, and they may make them slightly differently now.

It is the same overall make, and exact brand. Price was around that, maybe a bit more.

Have em look fer ya anyway.

I think I might buy it anyway. We've looked everywhere we can think of for one with metal spinners, but no luck. He wants to make malts with it. It would be nice if I could have it here before the weekend when he comes home. :)

It'll be fine for malts. We've made all sorts of shakes in it, even Cookies and cream and it broke up the quartered cookies really well.

He'll love it.

He likes cookies and cream, but his favorite is mint chocolate chip. It's hard to find here.

Maybe it's something with the ***** of the world? ;)

Forget that!

I got one of those gadgets from t.v. The Thunderstick pro.

I think it's going to be a good one.

Here is the contact address and number.

Reliant Interactive Media Corporation
2701 N. Rocky Point Drive, Suite 200
Tampa, FL 33607
Fax (813) 282-0045

I believe the net address is: www.rimc.com

It has all medal blades etc. I haven't tried it out yet, but I think it's going to be okay. I will try it this weekend.

It has 5 blades, a finder, cup, stand, & food processor attachment.
All for only 70.00.

Hehe. I was thinking about that, actually. Since I have the weekend off. And it's a 3-day weekend. Well, for him anyway.

I checked at Wal Mart. The cup was metal, but I wasn't able to tell about the spinners without taking the whole thing apart.

Thank you so very much Morninggirl. You're very kind to look for me. :)
