Irritating problem and mystery.

I have recently developed an problem when viewing pictures on Lit. Particularly in the pic threads.
Suddenly, all of the pics I try to view are formated thusly:
pic.jpg.jpeg/

Naturally attempting to open them means that I have to save them to disk, first changing the file name to pic.jpg then opening them with a pic viewer.

Now for the questions: Does anyone else have this problem? If yes, did it just recently develop? And finally does anyone have asuggestion for getting me back to the good ole day of just double clicking to see these marvelous pics????

why dont you look into a new antivirus software.... usually when there's a double extension at the end, there's a virus involved.

OK that hadn't occured to me. I use both McAfee and Norton but will try one of the online anti virus.
It does seem strange that I am not the only one to be experiencing this on lit, though. There is another thread with the same question.
I do appreciate the suggestion. Thank you, Lovely Lady.
