Just got done watching it. First impression: These people are fucking gun crazy!
Second impression: Very unprofessional TV.
Anyway, on to the meat of the thread. This is some of what Iraqi TV was just reporting on. I'll bet you that CNN didn't cover most of this.
Coalition forces are NOT in control of Umm Qasr, but only dock #10.
Oh yeah, we're stupid.
Direct quote from the dude on TV. Never did catch his name, but I'm sure you've all seen him. "We are hitting them beautifully from Umm Qasr. From the docks."
He says that Rumsfeld is a war criminal.
Claims that an unspecified number of American tanks have been destroyed.
Fedayeen Saddam have destroyed 3 tanks south of Najaf.
South of Nassariyah, 12 tanks and personnel carriers were surrounded and destroyed.
200 houses were destroyed in Nassariyah, along with 500 wounded. This was reported to be done by the coalition forces.
The Iraqis are alleging the use of cluster bombs.
In Babylon, 2 civilian quarters were bombed, with 4 "martyred" and 18 wounded.
In Baghda, the Shaab(sp?) area was cluster bombed. (This would be the area that was hit with supposedly stray cruise missiles.)
And that's the current round up of Iraqi news. Personally, I think they all need to stop smoking the crack pipe.
