That was a powerful protest that could be disastrous for the team members when they return to Iran.

Obviously, unless they win the World Cup or the Iranian Government is replaced by end of tournament, they're not going back.

Best guess is they will want to claim refugee status in the UK or Germany, but Turkiye's a possibility...Iranian businessmen use Turkiye now as a buffer to Europe...my Iranian contacts mostly call from Turkiye and Germany.
