Introducing ... the ENTIRE clitoris

Yes, very cool. It makes me wonder if stimulating a woman's G spot is really just stimulating the corpus cavernosum through the vaginal wall.

Amazing eh? Who knew? Not me, that's for sure, and I OWN one of them.

No wonder the gspot is hard to find.
You have to give the cliterous a internal erection first so it hugs the vagina.
Maybe this is the answer!

Well, it probably has to do with the paraurethral gland, which is the smaller prostate gland women have. It sits below the bladder, between the "legs" of the dick/clit. Since it and the clit are smaller, it would have to get more swollen to get the same amount of pressure on it since you have to stroke it through layers of tissue.

I wonder if this gives some perspective on how women feel about penis size. My wife says that there are many factors that play into her sexual arousal and orgasms with penis size well down the list. Nevertheless all other things being equal a larger cock seems to "touch more places" and induce a more intense vaginal orgasm.

Is it reasonable to think that all orgasms are clitoral but we just didn't understand how much of the clitoris is inside the body?

Cool stuff!

Thanks for the education!

I look forward to learning how to leverage this knowledge to create more pleasure for a woman... ;)

Where

Thanks, now I might be able to find it. No more "that's my elbow, stupid"

Wow!

Loved the drawing demonstration. I am more likely to spend some time exploring this part of the woman soon.

If we had real sex education in our schools, this would be known to every schoolgirl and schoolboy.

I had never heard of a clitoris until sometime in the 1990's when I was nearing Medicare age. Very naive about sex in spite of having fathered four children. But, then along came the internet and now we know 'everything'.

Well, I can cum without any genital contact at all (in the right circumstances), so possibly not.

If just ONE less woman has to deal with a man thinking her elbow is her clit, I feel like I've done some good in the world. ;)

That seems like a different point unless I misunderstand you. No doubt there are many factors to orgasm beyond genital stimulation. I am just observing that the anatomy suggests a more extensive clitoris than previously understood with more points of potential contact and physical stimulation.

Well, when you say that "Is it reasonable to think that all orgasms are clitoral ...", that kind of makes it sound like you think the clitoris needs to be involved in ALL of them. I don't think that's necessarily the case.

Oh I see what you mean. I take your point and obviously you would know better than I.

What I meant was that within the range of physical genital stimulation I have heard reference to clitoral stimulation and vaginal stimulation as being somewhat distinct. But the anatomy presented by your helpful link suggests that the clitoral area is both internal and external so perhaps it is more a matter of stimulating different parts of the clitoris. That anatomy also appears to suggest that certain parts of the clitoris are more accessible than others so perhaps technique and size might play a part in achieving the most effective stimulation.

That seems consistent with what my wife has told me. Attention and approach matter more than size by a wide margin, but a larger cocked man can with care and attention achieve greater overall stimulation.

So here's something I never knew, and apparently neither do a lot of people - the clitoris is actually a bit more substantive than a lot of us think, it's just that most of it is hidden away.

If my memory isn't failing me, the 'discovery' was made by Dr (now Prof) Helen O'Connell at the Royal Melbourne Hospital in the 1990s using MRI. (Don't ask me why the name sticks - it just does. Probably because such a ground-breaking discovery should be remembered. I'd put it on a par with Marie Curie, Einstein, etc, etc.) I put 'discovery' in inverted commas because there has been a suggestion that male anatomists were aware of this decades earlier but they never bothered to mention it. It wasn't deemed important.

If we had real sex education in our schools, this would be known to every schoolgirl and schoolboy.

In the light of my last comment, maybe that should be extended to 'real sex education in our medical schools'.

One of my partners can cum simply from attention to her nipples. I have known another to cum from caressing her neck and the back of her scalp above the hairline though the conditions and circumstances have to be absolutely right. The first time it happened I was idly letting my fingers explore while we were in a public art gallery - an interesting experience. I have known other partners cum from gentle caressing of the inner thighs, the mons, and related areas while studiously avoiding her actual sex. My theory in this case is that it's the anticipation that sparks the orgasm. I'd love to know whether that's true or not. Perhaps one of our female members has some better understanding of it.

I think there's a certain extent to which it's linked with prior pleasurable sexual experiences with the person involved. I've had it happens from attention to my nipples, kissing, and at least in one instance just from someone talking to me (possibly even just in text).

It is the duty of each of us to educate ourselves. The government isn't going to do it for us, nor should we expect it to.

I super-don't want this to tun into a political thread ... but when I pay taxes, education for my kids kind of is one of the things I expect. Admittedly, in the realm of sex ed, I actually think (informed) parents should be the first source of most knowledge, but given the variability of parental inclination to engage in this sort of thing, the state probably should step in at least a little, if for no reason than to ensure some consistency in the information kids are receiving. So until parents stop finding the idea of talking to their kids about sex mortifyingly embarrassing, then probably the state does need to step up a bit.
