Because it's the "beginning" of Spring, and the Equinox, let's be cheerful out there today, People!

I hear people are happier in Norway. It must be because they've gotten a good fare to go to Scotland to shop.

They are realistic and pragmatic.

Michael Booth, author of "The Almost Nearly Perfect People: Behind the Myth of the Scandinavian Utopia" thinks that Danes might simply have low expectations.

"Over the years I have asked many Danes about these happiness surveys - whether they really believe that they are the global happiness champions - and I have yet to meet a single one of them who seriously believes it's true," he wrote in The Atlantic.

"Danes do typically expect less than the rest of us, and when their low expectations are fulfilled, so are they."

*and pay shit load of taxes! go figure!*

They do a few things right. ;)

I'm looking forward to being in the happiest place on earth this summer.

Norge is on my bucket list. There's a museum in Bodø that I'd like to visit, plus see some of the fjords and wild mountain places. 😎

Take your hiking shoes. They have great trails and no bears to speak of! In the alpine zone between Trondheim and Oslo, I found all the low shrubs look like our locals. And whitewater kayaking was fun, too.

Boss wants to do a ( audience) tour of all the bigger scandi jazz festivals soon. I think that sounds quite good fun, so long as we get out for other things. I used to ride a couple of fjord ponies. Stubborn blighters :). The stallion was the type that liked to try to roll in puddles. It felt half way like riding s naughty dirty dog.

Do Norwegian ponies look like Icelandic ones?

I belong to local jazz society. I get great music concerts for $10 a ticket. Fun! 😎

No! Iclandics are small horses m, fjord ponies are kind of buckskin with almost zebra like punky manes, very much more broad and Cobby.

Ten dollars a ticket, amazing :). I can park at some places for that :) ;) going in ...

Whrn we were in Amsterdam a few weeks ago we went to a jazz club, and it's the main purposes of one of our city trips this break.

...and I'll wager that you had an Amsterdam(ned) good time?! :D
