What is the worst thing that someone has called you (that they considered an insult) that you took as a compliment?


In my case,someone called me a slut. I, myself don't think I am a slut, but it felt good knowing that someone else did.

My mother-in-law called my husband a radical once and he told her "Thank you, as long as you equate me with radicals like Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, Nathan Hale, John Hancock, etc.etc.etc." She has not called him that again.

Through the years I've been told often that I'm just "too much"! Sometimes it's in a negative way (meaning I've pointed out something to someone hitting too close to a nerve). I am sometimes "too direct" and "too honest", but I think that's what makes me ME.

What haven`t I been called. LOL. Probably an asshole is the one I hear the most frequently that I take as a compliment. Though there are a few who go as far as to call me a sweetheart and that just ruins my image. Later.
