Ideas

I have written one complete story and am currently entering onto my laptop. While doing this I take time to read a story or two as well where inspiration comes from. So far I have come up with ideas for four stories complete with characters and may have a fifth all due to reading other people's stories. I did not steal anyone's story but rather drew from my own experiences or my own fantasies. While entering my story to my laptop I'm doing a prilimitary editing, enhancing certain parts of my story. After I finish all the entry, Proofreading and editing then I will turn it over to the editor I lined up for her to change then it's on to submission and finishing chapter two.

As I am writing this comment I thought of another possible story which would be number six if I can make it work. I'm thinking it will possibly be a short one in the cheating wife category. I could easily turn it into an interracial story but still have it be a cheating wife. Like some of my stories it will be partly based on fact with the rest being fictional.

Maybe yes, maybe no. An author may engage in plot-bunny-generating exercises, brainstorming sessions, other structured ways to grow ideas. It depends on whether you approach writing as a craft rather than a pastime.

Just curious about how different writers find inspiration. Music? Real life experiences? Movies? Or a mix of everything? I often get inspired by other peoples writing, that is probably why I enjoy co-writing so much.
