Inserting Pics Directly

I know this has been asked before, I tried searching for old posts, got fed up looking. I want to be able to add a pic right into the post like so many others do. I tried reading the FAQ, could someone just break it down for me, it can't be that complicated.

When you go to post you will see an image like a post card.

If you hover your mouse over the image it says "Insert Image" click the postcard image.

It pops a box that asks for the text to be formatted, this is the URL of the image you want to put on the post.

The image needs to be on the web and to be able to be hotlinked to.

Insert the URL details between the tags and there you are done.

Just to show it can be done.
