Insert an even cleverer title here!

Just my thought for this morning....the thought of pressing you against a wall and kissing you felt good.

;) Besides, I didn't feel like picking you up today.
How has the day been?
Maybe we're gonna have to revisit the liberties you seem to think you have with my body. I like physicality as much as the next person, but sometimes it's nice to, I dunno, be chill about it.

This is why I had to leave Lit back in November......
I've been thinking of taking a little break for a while as well.

Politics, the great divider. Just like religion.
There shouldn't be any divide about religion: worship (or don't) however you like. Just don't expect me to do it your way.

It is never a good idea to force anything on anyone. I'm friends with people because of who they are, not because I want them to be a certain way.

I sound like a dad all of a sudden. Ugh....

Good one Sol. ;)

It's so hard on other platforms to let your friends know that you didn't become their friends because of religion or politics. Since 1994, I have not been a part of any organized religion and I make my decision every election based on what I believe and who supposedly will do the best job. I think some people are like lemmings when it comes to things because they follow the crowd and will go off the cliff with them. Where's free will?

There's no such thing as free will in a consumer orientated world.

I haven't had enough coffee to discuss politics or religion, so I'm just going to sit here quietly and sip on my steaming cup of optimism. ;)

U-dub's audio thread. :)
And you did it with coffee. :)

But also I'm glad you're safe.

Ahhh, yes. Thanks, I'm enjoying the thread. It's fun to get to put voices to all of the names. :)

(And a lot less scary than the "faces" thread!)

It's just nice to have a civil conversation. Everyone has an opinion and we all need to be able to have a certain degree of acceptance. And hopefully a pinch of humor, just makes things easier.

A civil discussion is one thing, but there are things that are right and things that are wrong. And there are some things which are not acceptable under any circumstances. Humor would only help to ease them down.

So while I can agree to disagree with somethings, move on and live life, there are other things that I will never accept. And though I am one person with no real means to help or to change them, I would actively speak up against them if I got the chance.

The downside of the process is that unless other parties take action, we are stuck with the consequences until 2020. It has been a very divisive year thus far and there's evidence of unrest in many places.

There is too much apathy going around to actually make these changes. And I don't see it getting any better in 2020.

Unless people actually start caring and standing up for what they believe in, totally.

My daughter didn't vote in the last election. She was convinced that the Democratic candidate had it won. When the opposite happened, the first thing she did the next day was register. She felt remorse for not voting even though the Democrats took our state.

Agreed there is evidence of unrest, that unrest has been visible for a very long time. We are a evolving complex culture and unrest is part of it. And always will be it's a fact. But what I don't care for is the riots and all the carnage. Have your believes, be passionate about them. My choice of how I voted was complete and total distrust in the other person who was running. And if that truly upsets people I'm sorry,

Don't apologize for voting with your heart. Many factors go into why a person votes for who they vote for. I don't think there has been a perfect candidate since I started voting back in 1992 to be honest.
I respect you for being honest and I also respect you for being real about why you did.
I voted for a third party candidate for that very reason. I really hate the . two party system because the third party candidates don't get the same coverage as the main two. I am curious how the European countries do it because it looks different from this angle

All I know is that many of the problems that people are yelling about have existed for decades, they are nothing new. And if having this schmuck, in office brings us one more step closer to a resalution, then the constant jaw flapping and avoidance that has been multiple administrations policy. Then going to look at it as the glass as being half full.

It's time they make a decision, head in a direction and hope that common sense was involved in the decision process.

I just love the fact that there are many who can't see that. All they see is their party lines instead of the constant inactivity.

Yet, he gets the blame.
Just like Abe Lincoln got the blame for the Civil War even though it was the same thing.

We as a people need to learn to accept others. I've done a huge amount of traveling while in the service for 20 years. And I can tell you that one of the constant things I saw. We're families simply trying to make a life for themselves. I saw it in africa, the phillipines, south america, Europe and here.

Accept it we are all very similar, but few people wish to accept it. And everyone gathers together with like minded people. And suddenly it's not us as a whole. It's them,

I hate that mindset. I have friends of all different kinds and when you take away what makes us different, we're cool. I have republican friends and democratic friends, friends from different backgrounds. We have fun because we're friends, not because of the other shit.
