Of course London had brothels. Every town in Roman Britain had brothels.

But most didn't go to the expense of minting special brothel tokens. That was reserved for the more up-market establishments, not the ones that served the common soldiers.

I'm sure the person who lost this one was annoyed by his loss. It could have been proof of part-ownership and therefore a free pass for life.
 
I'm sure there's a plot bunny here somewhere but it's too late for me to think it up.

Someone touches the coin (a psychic, or is it cursed?) and experiences all the memories of the previous handlers over the years.
If anyone wants to write that, go right ahead.
