Information wanted on E payments

First the good news through a contact made by my writing for Literotica I have just sold a story and will probably be selling more.

Now the site I have sold to wants to pay me by an E money system PayPal can anyone tell me about this system and does it work as I am resident in the UK.

Specifically I want to know -
Will I be able to get the money transferred into my UK bank account?
What is PayPal like to use?
Are there any better transfer outfits to use?

Paypal is OK

I have used Paypal extensively for payment of goods purchased through Ebay. They deduct the money from my checking account and notify the seller when the transaction has cleared. Clearing usually takes 3-4 business days. The money goes into a Paypal account from which you may withdraw funds, and which does earn interest. I know of one seller who had Paypal deposit the money in his personal bank account, and this transaction also takes 3-4 business days.
