Increase in Bi-Curious Women

Back then, "lesbians" were scary, smelly, predatory creatures who did seek to permanently convert women to the sapphic sisterhood. There was not, as far as I can recall, any concept of a woman's bisexuality as defined by her wanting to enjoy romance and passion with people of different genders.

I do not think there has necessarily been an increase in bi women on lit. I think there are two things at work here. 1) Women are greatly outnumbered on this board by men......so any time a woman puts up a post she tends to get bombarded by male correnspondence. Many of the men on this board are wonderful, intelligent, respectful men. Some are not so nice. When you encounter alot of the 2nd variety......it can be a bit of a turn off. A woman who is naturally curious may seek out another woman to talk to, since us women tend to be a bit more subtle and sensual. It takes a bit of time for us to warm up, and we like to chat a bit before "jumping into" things. 2) I think that society as a whole has made it much more acceptable for women to express their bi feelings. So women posting and attempting to create a chance to explore these feelings is natural. Besides it is Lit.....what better place to do it?

I agree with ya sassy, our society has gone from a keep your sexual orientation hidden type to the bring it on we can handle it. With that said, i dont think it is anything new for women to try experiement with the same sex, i mean i have a female cousin (she taught me a lot about sex) who said her best friend (of the female variety) taught her a lot about it growing up. As a younger person i just thought she meant they talked, but over the years reading a lot of stories and personal blogs around the internet, you run into more and more of the women out there who say they experimented as a young girl with their girlfriends and such. As a man we find that crazy cuz we never did that with the "boys" when they came over, but how many times did we all look at dad's nudie magazine and secretly excuse ourselves to "take care of business?"

I say if girls want to explore, let them. I have found that most girls i have run into that experiment with the same sex often come back hungrier for cock than when they left.
