Many nations show surveys with Hawai`i as the most romantic area of the world. There is some truth to that and we should take advantage of it here and now.
Every now and then it flares up and hits the news but few know that we have a full-time volcano going off on the Big Island. It's been blowing its top nicely for about twenty years. Lava is frequently flowing down the pali -- cliff -- in the national park and it's almost always flowing into the ocean. Sends up huge plumes of steam laced with glass-like particles.
Meanwhile it is creating a black-as-coal beach that is one of the most deserted large oceanfronts in the world. You can run naked for ten miles and never see a soul -- darnit!
