Maddog:
I totally agree with you. But if you're implying that my 500 blues song, in some way was offending.
Let me be the first to apologise for it. It was purely meant as a happy prank.
If you go back you'll see me praising Laurel & Manu. And I'm still doing so.

I love you guys. Really I do.

I come here religiously, like Maddog, every sigle day. Hell I even have an extra browser window at work, where Literotica is running constantly. Call me nuts, but I really don't wanna miss out on anything.

I love this place, and all the people coming here. You couldn't keep me away if you pulled a 44" magnum at my head.

I want to start off by saying that I know noone here means any harm when they make comment on the 500 errors and the new server and all that, so PLEASE don't think I'm having a go at you or anyone else.

I know they're annoying, but 500 errors are a VERY small price to pay for the Privlege of having such a great free story site with a Bulleten Board full of the coolest people I've ever met. (I really mean that. A few months ago I would have gone out of my way to hide the fact that I come to a "Sex BB", but it's so much more than that. Now, I freely admit it and I have no "shame" whatsoever.)

I think Laurel and Manu do a fantastic job with the site (I can't even understand how they manage it!) and I for one would still come here religiously even if it took 100 tries to post something.

Like I said, I know the comments nothing more than off the cuff remarks, but can't we just get on with enjoying all the good things instead of highlighting the ONE bad thing? Just my opinion.

Me too... I check my email and end up spending half my onlie time on the BBS let alone the nights I spent downloading stories so I could read them on my old computer

Vive la literotica, viva Laurel, vive Manu!

Ditto, ditto, ditto.
Literotica is the only place I check daily on the net (and I usually come back several times a day).

Laurel and Manu, you have a great site. It's better than any of the pay sites I have seen, very professionally run, with a slick, sophisticated look. Please don't take any of the se recent detractors seriously. Thank you for the effort you have put in to make Literotica the best on the net.

BTW - love the new icon menu!

Hell No Xander! Your post was classic! I honestly didn't even consider it among the ones I was talking of. I was more talking about a combination of ALL the posts over the 3 months I've been comming here. They're all the same. "Took me 25 times to post", "Where's the new server?", that sort of thing. Like I said, I know they're just passing remarks but we already know the problems.

Maybe I'm wrong, but if it were my site I'd feel a little bit... upset I guess... that people didn't seem to be enjoying it as much as they could. I just don't think that after all the great work Laurel and Manu do with this site that we should focus on the ONE aspect that isn't absolutely perfect, that's all.

I've never thought of the grumbles about how many times it took to post or even to just get a topic to load were useless. Some were less than tactful, but they served a purpose.

Laurel and Manu wouldn't know how the problem affect the users without the progress reports by people getting frustrated trying to post a message.

Speaking of 500 Errors. It appears traffic has picked up some since Laurel turned off some scripts to make more processor time available. Before the get back to catastophic proportions again, I'd like to see if there's something we the users can do to minimize them.

How many days do most of you have set to prune? I have mine set to 2 days, and don't seem to have quite as much trouble as others seem to. That's partly because I'm not on during peak times, but I think it's also because it takes less time to find two days worth of messages than it does 20 days worth.

The 500's don't bother me at all considering what I am getting! A small if any price at all to pay for Laurels wonderful site!

Guys -- there are no more 500 errors. So hush up and be happy!
