Censored!!

Fascinating that for a week or two the VOD photos at the top of the page grew more demure and clothed; but now they getting more raunchy again. But if I want to post a drawing with the same content I am 'redacted'. Perhaps we need to keep holding up the flag for honest erotic art.

The policy material that has been released is pretty clear - no nudity, nakedness, explicit graphic content, erotica, porn. You're parsing way too fine, asking a question like that. Unless your two are naked, holding hands isn't an "adult" situation in this context. It's not even an Awkward Display of Public Affection.

As written elsewhere, I received a message by email two days ago that goes into detail as to why the site is doing what it's doing. As it's a private communication, I'm treating it as "in confidence" and won't repeat it, but I have suggested to the site that they post it as the reason behind the shift in policy. It makes complete sense to me, and if you've been keeping up to date with "proof of age" legislation for internet sites, especially those promoting visual content, it won't take too long to figure it out.
Do we assume that the censorship of art is the front edge of censorship of all erotica? Maybe somebody can tell me why people having sex is dangerous to the mind or to children while dozens of sounds, stories, and images of people blowing others to smitherines or chopping them into bloody mishmash is not only SFW but okay for kids on a Saturday afternoon?

I agree, the inconsistency and lack of clarity is confusing. Some of my artwork could be considered intimate or sensual, but not all of it was graphic. Like my profile picture, I had a few like that where it was pencil sketch of a female from the back. Suggestive, but not engaged in any sex acts or showing genitals. I'm assuming those were just part of that clean sweep when the entire category was removed. I've never received any communication telling me that my artwork has been archived though, it was just gone.

I found an online gallery you might be interested in called Found Myself. Something mentioned in a forum thread to host artwork. It could be a spot used to host and share the link. Maybe add it as social link on the profile. I use it for my SFW gallery. I'll include the link if you want to check it out.

It's a pretty organized site with options to include details about the piece, mediums, use of different albums, and options to sell prints.

They do allow NSFW content which is blurred at first glance. I went with a fairly tame sketch to test it out.

I hope that might help or you find a place for your great work.
Wow, beautiful work on your profile! Love the photos.

I see your point and I fully agree, but to be fair
are they also going to crack down and censor AI generated writing? It's all over Facebook now and spreading over social media.
I haven't tried asking ChatGPT: "Make a story in which an electric invisible non-binary dwarf simultaneously gives fellatio and cunnilingus to an octopoidal alien and a screaming banshee while taking over an Icelandic geothermal conglomerate secretly undermining the Kansas state senate." Maybe there is a challenge in making bits and bytes come up with steamy bits and bites, just for haha's sake. Can we watch, listen, imagine, fantasize about Siri and Alexa getting it on? Or is there something special about someone with a heartbeat creating our next fever dream?

If you read the site news page the owners say that the changes to image posting rules come from an overwhelming outcry for a tamer, "work safe" environment. I call BS on this, as every single forum and topic I've ever viewed here was all about the display of the human body and it is promoted by every poster. Moreover, if you're worried about what someone walking by your cubical might see on your electronic device, WTF are you doing perusing NSFW materials while at work?!?!?!!? That would be YOUR problem now this site and not the posters that frequent this site.

Having said that, this is the owner's site, they can run it however they wish, implement whatever restrictions and rules they want. Why? Because it is THEIR site and they can do whatever they please with it. Since the changes to image posting have gone into effect, basically NO images can be uploaded directly to Lit anymore, you must use an outside host and link all pics here, no matter how mundane those images might be.

The site rejects any story submission suspected to be AI assisted or generated, and has done so for about two years now.
I had a piece I wrote 15 years ago rejected after I updated/improved the grammar for AI use...I didn't know whether to feel proud or pissed off :D

After reading a post here about 'no nudity' I went to my artworks and found them all censored. Nothing but the grey mountain logo on every image. Same when I went to others' posts. True for even my pix with no nudity. Not my browser.

So if all images are now blocked why not put up a big sign and say, "Literotica no longer publishes art." And what's with the 'no nudity' thing anyway? The stories here are raunchier than the sad 'high school nude smut' that is often posted. It would be great if Lit really strove toward fine, hot erotic art.

This makes no sense. Literotica has erotica, they have images of camgirls on the header and footers and push premium VOD.

And then you have illustrated stories where the images are half the content to help with the story. Why? It's not like this is a kid-friendly site to begin with, and having a SFW switch to block images that may contain adult content makes no sense unless you only read the non-sexual stories (while possible, i highly doubt).

How did you update the grammar? If you used current software tools, that's probably why you got the rejection. Good job though, eh?!

What gives, Manu and Laurel? Can you give us a serious, polite heads-up about what we should do? Should I tell you to trash my entire art section? I suppose I should. It's effectively nothing.
As my baby son used to say when he finished his supper, "Aw gone!"
