It seems my definition of honest does not gel well with this community. I much prefer knowing up front when people have a problem with me, and return the same courtesy to others.

However that is not seen as courtesy or honesty here, but just being rude. Correct manners are to whisper in pm to third parties and never ever under any circumstances actually let anyone know what you really think.

So now I am a troll.

Therefore I need to seriously consider whether I have a viable position here.

Not sure if or when I will return.
