"Well, this is different, what to do you think?"

Adrian looked at Jane and the note thoughtfully for a moment before he spoke.

"Well, we have two options. Either walk back to the hotel, say our farewells, and head home well before the traffic and have a lazy day..."

"Or?" Interjected Jane

"Or we have another coffee, do a route recce and make a detour via an interesting location...?" he raised his eyebrows as he finished speaking.

He was assuming that Jane would do the former, and enjoy some time alone at home.

"Sounds good, we could head back to the lake ...it's barely 9am. "

It was curious to see the behavior of the others still moving in clusters around the entrance almost waiting for further direction from the staff. Adrian and she moved back and retraced their steps to the hotel lot. They needed to stash their seminar materials.

"Let's drive both cars. I will drive-thru and pick up our coffee. De-café right?"

"Decaffeinated coffee? what's the point?" he joked.

Progress was initially slow as the caught the tail end of the morning rush hour, but as they left the town, the roads cleared, and before long they were back at the lake they visited a couple of days ago.

Adrian parked up in an almost deserted carpark; and headed to the boot of the car, and soon retrieved a pair of shorts and a polo-shirt.

"Excuse me" he offered as he headed to the public toilets where he emerged, carrying his smarter attire and placed them in the bag in the boot of the car.

Jane offered him his coffee which he thanked her for as they stood leaning against the cars in silence. Adrian sipped his coffee before he spoke.

"So what is the plan gorgeous?"

"It feels great to have that course behind us. Fortunately this happened on the last day. I don't know about you but this going make to school thing is not for me. College was fun but apparently I have out grown it."

She had parked near Adrian, one space over, so they had plenty of room. They leaned against her car capturing a view of the lake. It was mildly warm with hint that the real heat would be arriving later in the day. With no wind, it was smooth as glass all the way to the distant shore where a few ducks were feeding aimlessly. It was in fact even better than the previous afternoon because there were no other visitors in the lot.

He met her gaze and smiled. "Well I know what you mean; but what about me, it is even longer since I left university... I'm more used to delivering the training, not being on the receiving end of it.."

He grinned mischieviously before continuing

"But I'm sure you are more attractive now than when you were at college Jane."


She did look alluring as she leant back against her car, disposable cup in one hand. Her skirt exposed her thighs, her loose baggy top hiding the curves of her breasts, making her to him at least more alluring.

"In college it was study and going to class. We went to Spring Break just one time. I was not into sports all that much. I did some long distance running."

The weather was clear and the sun was warming the air as the shadows were disappearing.

He sipped his coffee as he leant against the side of Jane's car, looking at her as he listened intently. The sun was starting to warm the day up, it was obvious that the aircon in their cars would be well used when they drive back home in the late morning, or early afternoon. It made sense to go then before the weekend rush started in the middle of the afternoon.

He smiled as she finished speaking; and his insulated cup was empty.

"So what's the plan gorgeous?"

He stood up and reached for her empty cup and walked to the waste bin, to dispose of their rubbish.
