For me at least, it was also a very badly needed time away from the cave in which I normally immure myself for about 162 hours a week, and a wonderful opportunity to sit and talk about some of the things that really matter to me in life without feeling a need to censor myself from saying things that might make 'nillas here in the Bible Belt aware that I'm "a prevert;" to share stories back and forth about dealing with 'nillas, and idiots, and idiot 'nillas; to be able to respond to a comment, statement or question with "I'm a sadist! That's why!" and be completely understood.
It would have been even more marvelous to have had a little more lead time so we could have had even more of "us" there... <sigh>. Maybe next time.

Bunny was glad to stay far far away from them, too, even though she was "threatened" with them a few times. N, on the other hand, wanted to get to know them better, but I didn't want to do that for fear of potential medical repercussions - she marks easily, and had just recently been well spanked and introduced to a naughty little thing Chris calls his "slapper." When we tried a few very light taps with a medium cane, color immediately rose to the surface. Since I know someone with similar marking tendencies who was caned too soon after a previous caning, and got clots in her legs from the partially coagulated blood (bruises) from the first caning's marks, that wasn't a risk I wanted to take on her behalf at that time.
