Do you know that tomorrow, Saturday, marks the anniversary of when the suction vacuum cleaner was patented in 1869? And only a mere 2 hours after it was patented it had its cherry popped by a randy janitor.

And - this past week was actually National Hug Holiday Week. Next week will obviously then have to be National File a Sexual Harrassment Lawsuit Week!

Next Thursday, the 13th, is the 16th birthday of both Mary-Kate and Ashely Olsen. That makes them legal in 37 different states!!!

Tuesday, June 18, kicks off Beaver, Pennsylvania's annual Beaver Festival. Unfortunately I've been banned from the town after last year's celebration.

we celebrate my sister's and one of my neice's birthday's in june so it's a pretty important month around here.

do any other states have celebrations for juneteenth? texas does or used to at least. i've forgotten exactly but i think it's on june 15th and it celebrates the signing of the emancipation proclamation. when i was a teen, before integration, the city park in my home town would be shut down to whites and the blacks had free reign for pic nics and the use of the pool. something that wasn't allowed any other time.

Thanks, that's the plan! I need a break with lots of quiet time to just sit and think. No phones, no meetings, no mail, no deadlines, no Lit (unless I visit the library .)
