So, date night and my shoes haven't arrived yet. I'd ordered some 'porn shoes' (sandal heels with the perspex platform) to go with my outfit. I usually have something that matches. For example, I got green seemed stockings and lime green heels to match my lime green HB lingerie and satin dress. I think if they don't turn up before this evening, I'll have to go with knee high boots.

But do people think that important to make an impression with some sexy, outfit matched footwear?

Yes, Its an impression and shows your level of effort. Knee high boots are always sexy.

I think well-chosen shoes that complement a dress etc help make an even stronger impression, it’s the whole that someone will notice
That said - I think the sense that everything must give the impression of perfection places so much emphasis on materialism that the idea of wanting to feel good as well as look good is lost
