Ya'll need to calm down. Nothing should happen until Mueller & team finishes the investigation and release the finds. Everything in the media and the opinions here, for the last two years, have been guesses and speculation, even with the things that have come to light.
My guess at what will come:
If the Dems get to rambunctious and start Impeachment hearings to soon, they will pay for it. Trump and company have proven to be experts at lying and convincing their base to ignore it. He did get elected after all so that means, even though his support had eroded, there is still a group out there who could be swayed again.
As some said earlier, I don't want to see this turn into the same thing that the Reps did with the ACA, idiotic bills passed and sent to the senate, over and over that will not mean a damn thing. If that happens the Dems are going to loose the high ground and look like a bunch of temperamental, spoiled grade schoolers and will find that those who voted for Trump once will do so again because of that. At the moment the Dems have won the support of a whole section of the voting population that initially voted for Trump, but they could very well loose those voters if they are not careful. That doesn't mean the bills to fund the government now on their way to the senate. The senate should allow those to pass and fund the government so the populous can go about their business while congress argues about funding for the wall. Keeping the government shut down is a petty and childish thing to do, for both sides.
If the Mueller investigation is buried, which it can be by the administration, we are going to see another few years of this horse shit as the house starts their own investigation. That will be detrimental to the country and to BOTH political parties. Nobody will come out of that one without smelling like a pig sty but I believe the Repubs would come out of that kind of fight with the shitty end of the stick.
If the investigation shows any of what it has been speculated to contain and the house votes to impeach and the senate votes to acquit, the Republican party will be out of power for years to come. It's one thing to support a president of your party, it's another thing entirely to ignore criminal behavior that has damaged our country.
All I can say is congress: Choose wisely.

Doesn't matter. The midterms are over, Trump's base will have no say in the matter. And no matter what the Dems do, there will not be any pro-Trump voter backlash in 2020 like the pro-Clinton backlash in 1998. Anyone can see that Mueller's investigation has nothing in common with Starr's.
If the Senate does allow those to pass, and they do not include funding for the Wall, will Trump ratify them?
