In a column filled with both anger and despair, Republican campaign consultant Rick Wilson launched a diatribe against Senators Mitch McConnell (R-KY) and Lindsey Graham (R-SC) saying they have thrown all pretense of ethical behavior out the window and have ensured that the corruption of Donald Trump will taint the GOP forever — and they have no problem with it.

On Tuesday, Rep. Francis Rooney (R-FL) broke ranks with his party on several anti-impeachment narratives in conversation with CNN reporter Jim Sciutto.

Rooney, according to Sciutto, said that the ongoing efforts by President Donald Trump’s attorney Rudy Giuliani to interfere in Ukraine are “extremely disturbing” — and that Senate Republicans should “definitely” accept Democratic demands for testimony from White House officials like former National Security Adviser John Bolton and chief of staff Mick Mulvaney.

He also pushed back on the insinuation by the president and his allies that Ukraine was working behind the scenes to try to block Trump from being elected, saying “No intel people … have corroborated any Ukraine influence in the 2016 election.”

Well, they are grasping at anything they can to justify someone they emulate and who does and says what they want to do and say. It's just that there's nothing that justifies anything Trump does or says or is.

The other factor that defies belief is watching the news clips of young republican politicians from the Clinton impeachment expressing their views supporting the process and need for witnesses at the senate trial and watching them now as senile old men expressing the exact opposite.
I really wonder if trump has something on them, like photos of them having sex with their children or something.

To call people who are knowledgeable on the subject matter morons kind of sheds light on your inability to reason, calls into question your cerebral capacity.

Fatal is subjective on your part. I'm glad your amused, apparently it doesn't take much. To present to the people a case for impeaching their president minus some sort of statutory or criminal relevancy is like trying to play ball without a ball.

Although the house may be politically compelled to impeachment, evidence may be very compelling. Fatal, without evidence ( HC/M ), not so much. Impeachment with just majority political will = failure but not fatal.

The Senate sits as a jury in impeachment. The House does the investigation and presents its findings. The Senate is not going to finish what the House has failed to do. It will judge those findings. The President will remain in office.
