After spending the last few weeks bending conduit, running wire and installing dimmers and electrical disconnects, I've come to the conclusion manual labor is no longer for me.

I've decided to finally stop being lazy, stop giving excuses, and do what everyone has been telling me to do for years: Put my creative talents to good use. I'm taking one of my many story ideas and running with it.

No more playing video games or surfing the web; it's all work, starting tonight. Forgive me if I don't stop in as often as before; gotta keep focused.

Anyone who cares to encourage me can send random messages saying, "How's the book coming?" or "You aren't sitting on your lazy ass watching TV are you?" or "What the hell are you doing here on the General Board! You're supposed to be writing!" Every little bit helps. Hopefully I'll see you all at the book signing in a year or two.

;)

Hey you,
your box is full.
and get back to work!
:p

Hey! I've been sitting around for days wondering why no one has been sending me any messages. I've only had six saved messages in my box for the past two weeks. What gives? I thought you could hold a hundred?

Oh well . . . At least I know you still care. :)

Ive been working on a novel as well. Having trouble staying motivated as well. How do you do it?

one of my housemates is writing a book. of course, it's for his master's degree in creative writing, so he's just a bit motivated to write...

I tell myself that if I don't find a better way to make money I'll be working for the rest of my life. That's incentive enough for me. (And reading books by famous, wealthy authors who I feel aren't as talented as me. ;) )
