OK I lied, I just care a lot about everyone's opinions.

Does anyone have any good self-bondage links? It's too hot to knit.

I'm interested in the responses, too. When desperation sets in, I do self-bondage. Usually, though, I just stick with cuffing my hands together and tying my feet spread-eagled to the legs of the bed. I'm always afraid something drastic will happen, and I won't be able to get loose.

Since Netzach isn't here to toot her horn, I will for her.

Netzach is very, very creative. She does beautiful beadwork, and makes gorgeous jewelry. She knits and quilts and does just about anything.

This is not helping my girl-crush. You're awesome, Netz.

Disclaimer - I don't quilt. There's only so far my masochism will go. :) I've been thinking about doing some pin-up type art though, so you guys may see a visual artist thread from me at some point.

cat - THANK YOU esp for the anna one. I see a ton of how to use locks and timers and whatnot, but so little about how to get yourself into an effective tie. My situation is that I've been tying myself into very appealing and sexable bondage beyond my bull's skill level as a means of enticing presentation for afternoon nookie. But I found that while I can do pretty shinju and leg ties, the wrists are left to their own devices.

My means out is him, a key to the house, and a phone nearby. Backup is -- well I can undo it. I may start fishing for more challenging backups and ties.

Anyhow, self-tying can be desperation or practice or prep. I know that the person I'm willing to do this with isn't interested in the minutiae of learning how to the same point I am. Tying someone else up pretty is a piece of cake compared to tying yourself up pretty.

I want to do frou frou girly sissy collars at some point. Fabric buckling rather than functional, but basically made to match one's corset.

You're welcome.
Oh, would be great to see a VA thread from you. As to self bondage, you have more courage and patience than moi...I am sure I would get tied up, just not in a very attractive or practical way and escape would be impossible once I began to panic. :(

Aw Netz, you should QUILT! I started this year and I love it. Even went so far to get a job at a quilt shop part time to pay for the habit.

If you haven't seen my projects, find the 'quilting' tag in my journal for those posts. I do a lot of asian inspired projects.

I still want to learn to knit and crochet too, my boss does and makes the most awesome things.

I am in awe of people who can quilt. I started a very simple lap quilt in a "snowball" pattern (for those of you not into the lingo this is possibly one of the easiest things in the universe from the 1930's) and it's crooked, sitting in a box and ugh....

I will definitely look up that tag.

For anyone here curious, seri's creative endeavors are amazing, diverse, and wonderful.

Geoff - if only I weren't a control freak, huh?

*grins* Hey... for play, I'm quite happy just topping and not being all "Dominant" and stuff.

How much would you charge to make me a pretty beaded necklace? One of the trendy long ones that you can loop several times around your neck?

Ah. I knew I recalled you saying you were starting a quilt, so that explains it. LOL I was seriously beginning to wonder about my memory.

No yours is better than mine.

It's still in a box and I'd rather forget it. :p

satindesire, entirely dependent on the beads in question, etc. PM if you like, I'm not being evasive, it really depends.
