I'm thinking of switching over to the dark side of Linux

I posted this topic over on the GB but other than a couple of funny pics I didn't really get any advice, so I thought I would try posting here to see what you people have to say.

I need to do an OS reinstall. I am a trained Windows network admin, but I do know how to use Linux and have used it before. I don't have enough room to dual boot, and I've been getting the itch to try out Linux again.

Does anybody have any thoughts on why I should/shoulden't go through with this plan? Any and all input is welcome.
