and I have no idea where to go. Any suggestions?

If you can wait until Thursday the skies are supposed to clear up around here.

You could escape to the Magic Kingdom . . .;)

*laughing* with my good looks, I might get 1/4 of a seat on an airplane.

as for you, Jazzy, aren't you working?

South Florida? I have a duck pond.

well ... I don't actually have one yet but I have a shovel

If my hideously wealthy uncle (think Mr. Burns) ever kicks off I'll have a house in Hawaii at my disposal... of course, that doesn't really help you at the moment does it? You know what, I'll call and check on him right now.

Saytur, I feel ya.

however, I have a day to runaway, and I don't think I'll be making it to florida.

Go to Devils Den in Weston Ct, take a book and a blanket and sit by the bubbling stream and the cool clean water.

Take a friend and a thermous of hot tea or coffee. Sit by the side of the stream and catch up with old times.

Go to Westport and spend the day wandering through the shops and the library (recently rennovated by Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward) and then spend the evening at the Westport Playhouse catching the latest show. (It's a comedy highlighting the 30-40's in film).

Go to New Haven and see the Museum of British Art at Yale (Donated by Pinky Mellon). Spend part of the day at one of the many delightful outdoor cafe's.

Drive to Providence, take a walk along the river, have some tea and biscuits, then head up to Brown and sit on the green and watch the student walk by. You might spy an actress or two.

Take a couple friends and head upstate and find one of the many u-pick apple orchards and fill a basket full of fresh fruit. Enjoy the crisp air of autum and take a break and have some cider.

Go see leXie.

She's too far away hon, I wish I could, but I can't travel that far, it would defeat the purpose of me relaxing.

A single day to run away and call your own? Ooo...what would I do? hrm. Well, I'm boring and po' so I'd probably stay home and read. lol

Or maybe go do something touristy in my own city that I've never done (cuz I live here so I always think there will be time to do it later).

If I had the cash and the inclination, I think I'd find one of those small independent salons that are kinda on the funky side and get a massage and a manicure and a facial. If I were really rolling in it, I'd add a full body scrub and get my hair cut. *sigh* Damn that sounds awfully pleasant.

Enjoy your day of freedom, whatever you decide to do *grin*

Fly to Block Island for the day and go shopping. Take a walk on the beach and watch the sunset reflect over the water.

Jezus. I've been to Abbotsford. Trust me, Perks, there's NOTHING to do there. The hot spot is Boston Pizza.
