:( Still sulking.

*great big kisses*

You're always right, daddy. And a donkey head would match . . . well other attributes. ;)

NOW can I have a story?

Yeah . . . . I bet if you pulled the wings off a fairy all you'd have is a very pissed of PIXIE. Better be careful or you'll be like what's his name in 'Midsummer Nights Dream' and end up with the head of a donkey.

Nick Bottom is the name of the bloke who got a "donkey head " by Puck who was an elf though :) :rose:

Puck did it? I thought the queen of faeries did it. Oh well. I'm not real big on shaekspeare. Melodrama aggravates me.

I thought it was Oberon...

Oberon the king of faries ordered Puck the elf to do it so to make Titania ,who was his wife and queen of fairies, ( under a love spell) fall in love with the first human being she saw as soon she woke from her spellbound sleep ......

It was just a mischievous argument between husband and wife :) :rose:

Well, my story is about Hanna, the young daughter of a woodcutter in an enchanted forest.

Are we gonna get the story now? Because i asked, i did, and i didn't post any snarky remarks (though i was asleep at the time), and i'm sick and irritated and I WANT A STORY DAMMIT!

Glad to get that out of my system. Being nice takes too much energy.

i wonder if you can take a shower whilst sitting on the shower floor?

Yep it is doable, you just have to angle the shower head so that the water falls where you want to sit...oh and turn it up warmer than usual cause it will have cooled somewhat by the time it hits you.

Cool. Thanks.

No problem, being sick sucks and trying to stand for any time when you're sick sucks even more. I've done the whole showering sitting down thing before myself.

Hope you feel better soon.

Once upon a time in an enchanted forest there was a woodcutter and his little daughter Hannah. This was no ordinary woodcutter though, he was very special. He tended the forest like a loving gardner and only cut the trees that the magical folk marked for him to cut. Since the trees were special he got top prices in the city when he would travel out of the enchanted forest to sell and trade.

His daughter Hannah was special too. She was a very ugly girl though there was so much beauty in her heart that it came out in her true love, she loved to grow flowers. Hannah grew the most amazing flowers and she appreciated the beauty that she could bring out of the Earth even though she herself was not pleasant to look upon.

Her father did truly love her though and together they made a very comfortable and loving home. Hannah would tend to the house and she cooked and cared for a lot of the domestic chores while her father spent his days in the forest caring for the trees.

One day Hannah's father brought her something out of the deepest part of the forest. It was a flower bulb but it was unlike any she had ever seen before. Half of the bulb was as black as pitch and the other half was as white as ivory. Her father sat down with Hannah and told her that this bulb was not a gift for her so much as it was a task set for her to accomplish.

He explained that while he was in the forest the fairy queen called him to her and talked to him. She had heard of Hannah's talent with flowers and had charged her with growing and caring for a flower that was very special to her. He explained that in exchange for permission to live in the enchanted forest he had long ago agreed to be subject to the queen's laws and to respect the magical ones. He told Hannah that she must choose to either serve the fairy queen and do as she asked or they would have to leave their home.

Hannah loved their home and she also loved the faerie people even though she hadn't met or seen them. She also was incredibly curious about what kind of magical flower she was being asked to grow. So she took the bulb and she began preparing it to plant. She went into the forest and gathered the best soils and sands and mosses for her new flower. She prepared a place just outside of her window to plant the bulb in as it got just the right amount of sun for a healthy flower. Before long Hannah was pouring her heart and love into bring this flower to life.

Awww, it sounds sweet so far Betticus. What sort of flower is she growing???

Hannah was surprised when the flower started to grow. There were two stems from the single bulb. One stem was pure white and the other pure black. The leaves of both were a beautiful, healthy and vibrant green like no other green she had ever seen.

Hannah doted over this flower and she daydreamed about it day in and day out. She kept the soil around it clean and free of weeds and she noticed that no kind of harmful bug ever came close to her flower. It even seemed to have it's own bees and hummingbirds watching over it and protecting it. They were always nearby and seemed to watch her intently whenever she was near her flower. They never bothered her though so she didn't mind them and they really were the prettiest hummingbirds and the biggest honeybees that she had ever seen.

Before too long the flower had reached the level of her window and a single flower bud began to form on the end of each stem. It seemed to take all of the spring for this flower to grow and Hannah was checking it every day to see if anything had happened.

One day as the buds were getting very big Hannah noticed that the little protective petals were beginning to open. She could just barely make out some color from inside the buds and it seemed that the bud on the white stalk was making a flower that was the most beautiful color of gold and the black stalk was making a flower of pure silver. This was driving Hannah mad with curiosity but she was patient and remembered where her father had gotten this flower.

One day close to midsummer the flowers started to open up. It turns out that these flowers were like nothing she had ever seen before but they most closely resembled giant tulips. They were teacup shaped and extraordinarily beautiful. One was the color of pure gold and the other was pure silver. Hannah noticed that as the days stretched on the cups of the flowers slowly filled up with pure water. It was odd as the water never evaporated and nothing ever got into it. It remained as pure and as fresh as water could ever be. She tried to touch it once but the hummingbirds and the bees warned her away so she was much more careful after that.

It was only that night as she stirred in her sleep that she noticed a lone bat watching over the flowers and she started to find spiderwebs close to them too. She dared not to sweep the webs away for fear that they were supposed to be there. So Hannah was a good girl and she cared for the strange flowers as best as she could.

Until one morning after her father had kissed her goodbye long before sunrise as he usually does on his way to the forest Hannah awoke to strange noises. She heard bees buzzing about and peeked out from under her covers. All around the flowers the bees were buzzing about. They would each fly up to the golden flower and do something and then fly off. Hannah was wide awake with curiosity and after the bees had all gone away she heard tiny little splashing noises coming from the window. She knew a bee had gotten stuck in the flower and she felt the need to go and set him free before the queen of the forest found out that she let something happen to one of her people.

Hannah grabbed a spoon and rushed over to the window. As she leaned over the flower outside her window she saw something that stunned her. There was no bee trapped in the flower but a tiny little pixie. She was painfully beautiful and had pure white hair and fair golden skin. The pixie was splashing around in the water and making all kinds of foam with a bunch of bee pollen that was in there with her. And she was ever so naughtily naked. It seemed that Hannah had accidentally intruded on a pixie taking a bath in her flower. The little pixie saw hannah and squeaked an embarassed little shriek and covered her little naked self with foam. She blushed bright pink from her tiny little toes all the way up to her platinum hair. Hannah blushed too and was mortified that she had seen such a personal moment. She ran to her bed and hid under her covers.

Pretty soon the splashing died away and Hannah noticed that it was getting brighter. She peeked out from under her covers just in time to see the little pixie climb to the rim of the flower all covered in a thick foam and spread her little arms while facing the morning sky. Hannah watched as the first rays of sunlight struck the little pixie and saw her begin to glow with a golden light, brighter and brighter. She saw her skin change to something like a golden velvet and a set of little dragonfly like wings came out of her back and spread out to dry in the sunlight. Hannah didn't know what was happening but she knew that it was magical. She watched as the little hummingbirds brought a tiny dress to the new fairy and draped it over her. It was a fine material and was just a little bit see through. As the fairy finally dried off she giggled a tinkly little laugh and rose up into the air on her little wings. She darted like a little lightning bolt over to the bed and planted a little fairy kiss right on Hannah who was too shocked to move. The fairy flew off into the morning sun followed by bees and hummingbirds and everywhere she went a fine glittering of shimmery pixie dust spread out around her, bring new life and health to all of the plants that it touched. Hannah felt a warm glow on her lips where the fairy had touched her and it seemed to spread out through her whole body. It seemed that the whole forest was coming to life for Hannah for the first time. She could see colors that she never noticed before and she could see tiny little imps and magical folk moving about. She was stunned and couldn't wait for her father to come home so she could tell him what had happened.
