Upon reflection (or my last post) I think I might be less of a natural Dom than a living artist. I’m not sure if I’m into BDSM for itself, or for a greater end. I want that one crystal moment of perfection, where D/S becomes beauty of two people in total sync. Classical. Yes, I know I sound lame.

What's a Dom

I don't understand why people decided to begin defining this in really rigid terms.

To me, the line between Top and Dom isn't some kind of wall it's a line in the sand at best.

I like to feel in control of my life, I like to be trusted with really edgy emotional shit and I like making welts on skin.

The altered state of SM, for those who have experienced it, is such an awesome universal harmonic that I personally don't give a crap who's who in the moment. It's the moment.

I try to carry that outwards with me, I don't care if Joe Blow thinks I'm a dominant or not. I know what I can make happen.

I don't really distinguish between the titles "Dom", "Top" or "Master". Who cares? A title is what you make of it -- I just figure the labels for related things.

As for not being a Dom, Crockden -- it's your urge to control, to dominant, to take charge that makes you a dominant person. Your motivation is just that, motivation! And your urge to make BDSM into art is great!

So don't bemoan it... enjoy it!
