I'm laying 50-50 odds

The following likely is the inspiration for the thread. It's from the Patriot Post:

Will Hillary Clinton be indicted? This former U.S. attorney thinks so. Joe DiGenova, a Ronald Reagan appointee, says the FBI has "reached a critical mass in their investigation of the secretary and all of her senior staff, and, it's going to come to a head, I would suggest, in the next 60 days." He argues she'll be indicted because Attorney General Loretta Lynch won't be able to avoid it.
"It's going to be a very complex matter for the Department of Justice, but they're not going to be able to walk away from it," DiGenova said. "They are now at over 1,200 classified emails. And, that's just for the ones we know about from the State Department. That does not include the ones that the FBI is, in fact, recovering from her hard drives. ... I believe that the evidence that the FBI is compiling will be so compelling that, unless [Lynch] agrees to the charges, there will be a massive revolt inside the FBI, which she will not be able to survive as an attorney general. It will be like Watergate. It will be unbelievable."
Finally, he said, "The evidence against the Clinton staff and the secretary is so overwhelming at this point that if, in fact, she chooses not to charge Hillary, they will never be able to charge another federal employee with the negligent handling of classified information. The intelligence community will not stand for that. They will fight for indictment and they are already in the process of gearing themselves to basically revolt if she refuses to bring charges."
Of course, only time will tell, but it sure would be earth-moving if he's right.

Assuming any of this is true it's Obama's call. Does he hate her enough to shove her off the stage to make room for uncle Joe?

No, it's Loretta's call. That is the job of the AG. Which brings us back to whether she's willing to fall on her sword.

Seriously you can't possibly think she is independent, that would be so naive. AG's do what they are told.

No, but her subservience comes at a cost. We'll see what the temper of her steel is.

Ishmael

This is what I think would happen....

Lynch: We have enough to indict & prosecute Hillary on multiple counts.
Obama: Do what you think you need to do. If she broke the law , she broke the law.
Lynch: *looks at Obama for a clearer sign of his wishes*
Obama: *gives her the want me to spell it out for you look* I hate that bitch. Fuck her in the ass just enough so Joe can run for my 3rd term. That will make michelle happy and get her off my ass about that world tour before I leave office for a few weeks.

Well, that would be wonderful it he were to fall into that trap. Nixon redux.

50/50

The FBI has 1200 counts of felony security violations against her already and still counting.

The FBI director has the reputation of being an apolitical, hard-nosed, law enforcement guy.

The AG has the final say as to an indictment but if she doesn't indict the FBI and the Intelligence community are going to go into open revolt which will probably cost her her job. So the question is, "Is Loretta Lynch willing to fall on her sword to protect Hillary?" And that's the basis of my 50/50 call.

And while Lynch is definitely in Obama's hip pocket, he has to tread lightly lest he find himself cast as a latter day Nixon.

Ishmael

At one time I thought it unlikely Hillary would win the nomination. I've now changed my mind. I now think more than likely she will. The Democratic Party seems to be all in on her this time. All in.

The Dems are nuts to be all in for her. Bernie is a way better candidate with none of the baggage. Hillary is not the best they have but the Clintons have a strangle hold on the party because Obama is staying out of it.

Bernie is an atrocious candidate and we all know it no matter how much we love him and want him to be president. It's Hillary or pray your dumb enough to go with Trump.

I could live with president Bernie, mostly because I know no president gets 100% of their way and he's not a bad fellow.

Hillary on the other hand has lusted for that office her whole life and someone that has lusted for that much power for so long, must never get their hands on it.

So, anyone that votes for Trump is stupid? Better to vote for a congenital liar and criminal than a bombast.

Gotcha.

Anybody who votes for trump is either stupid or evil, probably both since it's difficult for me to envision anybody so overwhelming in one category to follow him. Fortunately we don't have a congential liar or criminal. We have a politician sure.

See how much I understand about you?

Not a chance. Both the Clintons have inoculated themselves by dodging so many criminal charges over the years that any new charge for any offense is simply written off as the vast right wing conspiracy out to get them.

Perhaps there is a lesson about crying wolf here? Of course given all the accusations flung at Obama I'm reluctant to believe learning from mistakes is something the RWCJ can do.

It isn't "crying wolf" when there is an actual wolf being pointed out. If the villagers decide to coexist with the wolf, that doesn't alter the fact that the alarm was valid.

My son is a strong supporter of Sanders. He's working his ass off for him. He's learning some hard lessons about the realities of politics. It's kind of sad to see the innocence of youth being destroyed, one step at a time.

Now they have an email directing that sensitive material being sent via unsecured communications channels...

This was a Rose Law Firm billing records production.

She was breaking the law assured that she could hide all of the evidence until after her coronation when the usual suspects would ban together and report that this is nothing about nothing, old news, thoroughly investigated.

Pretty true...

There is a lot of bad blood between the two camps.

All for naught. She's going to skate and go on to win the election. Remember - people like our very own blind, deaf, and dumb Litlibs will be voting.

These are not "your own people". The people you describe are mostly successful, smart, happy and employed.

Questions.

Will Obama eventually support HC?

Would his support help her?

If helpful what would the price of his support be. I reckon he might seek a seat on the Supreme Court. Confirmation Hearing would be interesting.

Good questions.

Only time will tell.

I do not think he wants to be on the court; too much time and discipline.

I think he plans on being a celebrity community organizer/agitator and shakedown artist...
