I'm aghast that they are allowed to discriminate against the other 280 million people in this country, and 6 billion+ worldwide who are not allowed to join solely because Augusta National limits its membership to 300 people.

I want everyone to join me in this protest. Augusta National must open up its membership to every single damn person who wants to join - and even to those who do not want to join!!

No one in this country can be equal until everyone can join private clubs regardless of anything.

Education is unimportant.

Hunger and homelessness is unimportant.

The only thing that matters is being able to join private clubs!!

Did you know that Augusta donates it's advertising revenues back to local charities?

According to a press release from Augusta, they will continue to donate to these charities this year despite lack of that revenue.

So, it's a mixed blessing.

They only had a few minutes of commercials per hour to begin with. Canadian tv will be running ads, i think 3 or 4 minutes per hour during the broadcast.

The untold story is that Augusta National donates millions of dollars every year to charity. This year they chose not to have any commercial sponsors to protect them from bad publicity and boycotts.

Fortunately they will match last year's contributions despite not having TV sponsors. Had they been a less generous organization, they could have decided not to make any charitable contributions this year.
