I'm drunk

Seconded! Damn, "worth the effort" sounds so infinitely much more interesting than "easy." But then, that's the core of pretty much every story I write. No wonder they're all novellas.

sweet dreams Carson...and you know what? you can take that any way you please ;)

He's going to shoot himself when he realizes that he's missed that offer.

I, on the other hand, am still awake ...

as am I ... but I might require some payback. I have a four year old daughter upstairs that loves horses. of course, her ride will be expected to be very different than mine...

Damn, Bel. Should've held out for more. I think you could've gotten a whole kiddie birthday party out of the deal. ;)

how much do you give a horse to eat in the morning if you want a full day's work out of it?

Just enough to let it know it's hungry...

may apply to Guinness and BlackShanglan as well...perhaps we will find out...

edit at approx 20 min later:
hmmm, I appear to have shocked Shang into silence....

*chuckle* Sorry to dissapoint - not shock, but a sudden thought that I was missing a Christmas present from the stack I just ordered. Now that no relatives will feel slighted ...

I admit, shamefacedly, that the Guinness trick will almost certainly work. And alas, I will hardly have the strength to protest. But then, some of the work might be of a pleasant nature ;) Perhaps we need to work out a ride-per-"ride" exchange rate. I promise that I am good for a very long day's work indeed - if properly motivated.

well, Guinness is definitely a good thing... despite possibly misleading comments in another thread, I am not by any means opposed to beer/stout, I just like scotch...

and I am having the "don't forget anybody" present issue as well...thankfully, my mrs. is keeping a spreadsheet updated as we buy...otherwise I have a tendancy to go buy one thing for one person and come back hours later $300.00 poorer just because, " Hey, she would like this, and he would like that..."

our budget just won't allow me to be that crazy this year...

edit: so don't get mad at me when you only get a four pack and not a twelve in a week or so, OK ;)

Bless her. I need to do that. I rely, exceedingly foolishly, on my memory, and it's only a matter of time before that leads to a major cockup.

Absolutely not a problem. I'll just take it out in trade ;)

No, I just went to bed, to cry myself to sleep over the cruelty of redheads. ;) And have sweet sweet dreams.

Belegon, I once had a torrid affair with a heavily freckled redhead from southern california. I may need to inspect the other side of you for any other identifying tattoos.

Try a black and tan - half each. It's a beautiful thing.

Agreed. They are wonderful.

If you have a sweet tooth you might also try a snakebite. Half Guinness/half hard cider.

Have done ;) I do love a pint of cider as well.

The first time I had it, I had been drinking Guinness first. Naturally, the cider tasted like apple juice. Three or four fast pints later I was thinking muzzily to myself, "How'd that table get way up there over my head?"

Is it my imagination, or did this say simply that it was the wrong tattoo a couple of hours ago? Nice try Carson.

In April '92 I was in Iowa, did not get back to Cali until Dec. '92. and I was dating the college homecoming queen. Sorry.

This line could easily be re-routed to my first experience with sake...

But you do admit that you were dating queens?

I hear they taste like chicken (i.e. the one that didn't cross the road in time).

*laugh* I like it. I've been trying to find out the same thing about Alpacas, but unfortunately that night in Tierra del Feugo (sp?) is half traumatic flashbacks and half blotted from memory. The last thing I recall was the sack of marbles bursting ...
