Well, there's me. Transvestite. There does seem to be some tranny stuff around here but it's very scattered.

Quite a few good stories though... but many about more forced feminization and less people simply crossing the gender line because they want to, need to.

I'm still pretty new here though...

trans?

please explain YOUR view of transition.......

and/or......YOUR view of transexual/
i know what society says with its labels........
and i also know what my rulebook says.....

i am born male.......very macho....i have never backed away frrom a fight anywhere anytime.......i can rumble in a split second,,,,
i personally LOVE seeing people hurt/crippled and bleeding in the back alley......its what i grew up with......

now?
now i am trying to do what i always wanted.......doing what society says i aint all there......
doing what folks claim is a mortal sin to their god.....

i am trying........s-l-o-w-l-y.....to become the woman i wanted to be but the 1950's said there is something wrong upstairs and i embarrassed my male family clan.
========
some day?.......dunno yet.......may not live that long...
but maybe i will discuss with Ma'am......about a sex change.....
right now, i only give a damn about my chest growing, and trying to feel woman-ish than some other public display thing.
i dont want 15 min of fame.......i want to be left the hell alone in peace and quiet.......as the private citizen i am.....

no i aint being hostile........i am merely voicing what i feel inside....
thank you for the time.....

i am not a tranny but get very turned on by them. i constantly check the shemale story section for updates and wish i could find a good ***FREE*** site for some shemale pics, movies, etc. but please dont be shy on these boards. you are most welcome. wish i could meet a nice tranny woman for a wonderful time.

oh well. just to help this board move along if anyone has some nice tranny pics or stories let me know.

Experimented a lot with crossdressing as a boy a few years ago. Male identity was tied up a lot in bottoming, when I stopped being satisfied as a bottom I stopped dressing, pretty much.

I still enjoy the periodic "yes Daddy" from my own boy, but in retrospect I think it was more about displaced emotions as a Dominant of men. (and bois :) and sometimes the naughty girl.)

I am not a big participant on this forum, since I am neither G, L, B nor T, but I'd like to say hello--I have met a couple of mtf women in personal and professional contexts. I hope things are a little better out there than they used to be; both of the women I know started their transitions in the 1980s, and one of them was having trouble with being 'read' at job interviews and not being hired simply because she was who she was. I know it's not easy--you never know who's going to turn out to be utterly unable to digest the facts of life in an adult manner.

Not to mention this slight problem of getting hit on for all the wrong reasons by a certain segment of the population.

If you have access to the Usenet newsgroups, you can find lots of what you are looking for. The newsgroups alt.binaries.pictures.erotica.transvestites and alt.binaries.multimedia.erotica.transsexuals are the best, with the latter having more commercial quality videos for download and the former having more amateur material. For the movies, it helps to have a high speed connection. In general, I find the Usenet the best source of porn on the Internet, as it eliminates the need to use any of the bullshit pay sites on the web.

For more stories (besides this site), you can also check out http://www.freegaysex.com/nifty/index.html on the web. They have an incredible selection of gay, lesbian, and TS/TG erotic stories.

That's actually a new thing for me that I've only run into here on Lit. Despite my experiences within the trans community, I'm not used to people fetishizing Ts. In previous threads here I've tried to point out that most trans people have suffered a lot to get where they are, and many of them do not want to be objectified. Won't stop some people from having fantasies, I guess.

sure, and i'll add in other terms.

Androgynous, Androgene, Androgyny
A person who expresses and/or presents mergedculturally/socially defined feminine and masculine characteristics, or mainly neutral characteristics. Mayor may not express dual gender identity. Also usually applied to a person who’s gender identity is not apparent.

Bi-gender, Bigender, Bigendered (BG)
A person who identifies as both or some combination of the two culturally prevalent genders. A bi-gender individual may shift their gender identity and/or expression from one gender to another, or a combination of genders, in ways that make sense to them. Such shifting may occur on an hourly, daily, monthly, or yearly basis.

Crossdresser, Crossdressing (CD)
A person who, on occasion, wears the clothing considered typical for another gender, but who does not desire gender reassignment surgery. Reasons for crossdressing can range from a need to express a feminine or masculine side to attainment of erotic/sexual/fetish gratification. Crossdressers can be of any sexual orientation, but the majority of crossdressers tend to identify as heterosexual / straight.

Drag Queen / King, Male / Female Impersonator
Wearing the clothing of another gender, often involving the presentation of exaggerated, stereotypical gender characteristics. Drag often refers to dressing for functional purposes such as entertainment/performance or social gatherings. Drag has held a significant place in GLBT history and community. Drag can also be an acronym for “Dressed as a Girl.”

Gender Bender, Gender Blender, Gender Fucked, Gender Queer
A person who merges characteristics of any gender in subtle ways or intentionally flaunts blurred stereotypical gender norms for the purpose of shocking others, without concern for passing.

Intersexual, Intersex
A person born with anatomy or physiology which differs from cultural ideals of male and female. Intersexuals may be born with ambiguous genitalia, and/or experience hormone production levels that vary from those of culturally “ideal” men and women. Intersexuals may be born with full or partial internal genitalia, and/or full or partial external genitalia. Intersexual genitals may look nearly female, with a very large clitoris, or they may look nearly male, with
a very small penis. They may be truly “right in the middle,” with a phallus that can be considered either a large clitoris or a small penis; with a structure that might be a split, empty scrotum, or outer labia; with a small vagina that opens into the urethra rather than into the perineum. Intersexuals are typically assigned a single gender at birth, and often undergo surgery on their genitals in infancy to force a more culturally acceptable gendered appearance, one which “matches” their assigned gender. Many intersex people who undergo such surgery in infancy later report feeling a sense of loss of an essential aspect of themselves. Examples of the medical diagnoses used for intersexuals include: adrenal hyperplasia (CAH), ambiguous genitals, androgen insensitivity, full or partial (AIS/PAIS), clitoromegaly, early genital surgery, hypospadias, Klinefelter’s, micropenis, and testicular feminization.

Multi-Gender
A term used to describe a person who identifies with all genders at some level, and
may perform gender in a variety of ways.

No-Gender, Non-Gender
A term used to describe a person who identifies as neither of the two genders existing within a binary gender system. A no-gender person may “live outside of” gender, and play with various types of gender or anti-gender expression.

Shapeshifter, Metamorph, Polymorph
A term used by some people (who choose not to identify as transsexuals) to express their belief they are not changing their gender, but changing their body to reflect their inner feelings and gender identity.

Shemale, She-Male
A genetic male who has physical characteristics of both male and female by choice via hormones and surgery. The term accurately describes most MtF transsexuals during transition, but it is generally used by those working as a show-girls, or otherwise exploiting their physiology in the pornography industry. The usage of this term is generally derogatory, and many are highly offended by it.

Third Gender
A term used to describe people who feel they are other than male or female, or a combination of both.

Trans, Transgender (TG)
A term used to describe those who transgress social gender norms; often used as an umbrella term to mean those who defy rigid, binary gender constructions, and who express or present a breaking and/or blurring of culturally prevalent/stereotypical gender roles. The term trans includes but is not limited to transsexuals, intersex individuals, bi-genders, no-genders,
androgynes, cross-dressers, gender-benders, feminine men, masculine women, shape shifters, transvestites, and sometimes Two-Spirit people. Transfolk, transperson, transpeople and trannies are other more casual terms used to refer to people who identify as trans or gender variant.

Transgenderist
An individual who chooses to cross-live full time, but who chooses not to have SRS/GRS. Such individuals may or may not take hormones. For many individuals, self-identification and self-expression alone (through cross-living or other methods of gender expression) achieve harmony or congruence between one’s body and one’s gender identity. Such individuals may thus feel no need for surgical reconstruction.

Transsexual, Transexual (TS)
An individual who experiences intense, persistent, long-term discomfort with their body and self-image due to the belief that their assigned gender is inappropriate. This individual may then takes steps to adapt or change their body, gender role and gender expression in order to achieve congruence with their gender identity, (what they believe their true gender to be). Such steps may include cross-living, hormone use, surgery, and/or other body modification. Taking such steps may or may not lead to a feeling of harmony or congruence between a person’s body and gender identity.

Transvestite (TV)
An older term used to describe a crossdresser derived from "trans", which means cross, and "vestment", which means clothing. Most commonly used to describe an individual who cross dresses for sexual and fetish reasons, yet some still maintains a gender identity that matches their own physical sex.

Two-Spirit
A term used by some indigenous/First Nation/Native American people to describe the
experience of being, in Euro-American-centric terms, lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender.

I think it's worth noting that those are not always 100% standard definitions, especially when it comes to the difference between transgender and transsexual. While I agree with most of mellian's definitions, I do want to point out that other people may use the terms in different ways. mellian's provided an excellent basic definition, though.

There are a few more transfolk on Lit who haven't spoken up in this thread...I'll dredge up names and PM to see if I can convince them to come back.

yes, there are those who have their personal definitions for some of the terms, but those I have listed are base on the most common used definitions.

tg and ts can be controversial, depending who your talking with anyway.

I am a crossdresser, and have been doing so since I was 4. I am not full time ( though there are times I wish I was), and I do go through different phases, where the male side of myself will dominate, then the female side will re-emerge.
I concider myself as a GEM, gender enhanced male.
Later!

*raises hand meekly* transsexual woman.

I don't often post or visit Literotica as much I wish I could. And honestly I feel some of the trans-related comments or threads in this forum in the past have been a little too belittling for my tastes. Perhaps I'm alone in that. But the majority (not all) seem to be either tranny chaser related or subtly non-accepting due to ignorance.

Thank you so much for taking this position. I'm well aware of the issues JeanetteLv2 mentioned, and it's a shame that some transpeople have left our community because they don't like the posts they see. I wish I could do something about it, but even as mod there's not much I can do. So thank you again for being willing to "show them the light." :)

Cding is fun

I'm a guy, Like being a male, I don't want to be a female "BUT"
I do like to cross dress sometimes, mostly sexy, underthings.
But have tried the wig, and make route to see what I looked like.
When I do dress, I like the way I feel and look. Just plain sexy and open. I have my own stocking, garter-belt, Crotchless pantie hose, open cup bra. I have gone as far as Shaving pubic are smooth, which I do like, and Have my nipples pierced. Enjoy the resulting enlargement of my nipples. I have had a Male on male and a Bi 3 way while dressed and found both very exciting.

i cross dress frequently. i feel more like i should be when dressed.

i know i have gender issues, and i really want to cope with them and switch. maybe this board will help :)

Cope with them how? Do you mean switch genders and become female, or something else? This board is a good place to chat, but if you really feel you have gender identity issues you should talk to a counselor and/or therapist. Meanwhile, though, welcome to Lit!

but if you really feel you have gender identity issues you should talk to a counselor and/or therapist.

Definitely agree with Etoile. But the vast majority of psychological professionals I've dealt with so far that have little to no clue when it comes Gender Identity Disorder/Dysphoria. So if and when you take that step I think it's best to shop around a bit if possible to find someone that's familiar with issues we deal with or has experience with GID patients ... or at a minimum be willing to educate them. ;)
