Argh!!

No matter what I adjust, no matter what options I chose, Microsoft Word will NOT let me start off a line without AUTOMATICALLY capitalizing the first letter!!

I'm writing poetry for chrissakes!

Somebody please tell me how to make my computer allow me my artistic preferences?

I'm about to lose my mind!

hit undo after it auto corrects. That is the short term solution.

Turn on or off AutoCorrect options
On the Tools menu, click AutoCorrect.


Do one or more of the following:
To set the capitalization options, select or clear the first four check boxes in the dialog box.


To turn on or off the AutoCorrect entries, select or clear the Replace text as you type check box.


To turn on the spelling checker corrections, select the Replace text as you type check box, and then select the Automatically use suggestions from the spelling checker check box. To turn off the spelling checker corrections, clear the Automatically use suggestions from the spelling checker check box.
Note If you’re using the spelling checker corrections, make sure to turn on automatic spell checking.
