"So who wants to tell me what to do. Cybersex only please."

So, what do you think of people like this?

First of all, post your personals ad in the proper forum, which this is not.

Second, get out of your mother's basement, off the computer, and get a life, which this is not.

And if you are 22, 6'1" athletic, and your interests are jackin off, TV, Jackin off, internet, jackin off, chances are you will die a virgin.

Sorry

Intended this as a discussion, not as a personal. I had allready started a thread for that. Anyways, I have revised the original thread and I hope this will despell your confusion.

PS. Sir winston, I don't live in my mothers basement, and I do have a life. I just prefer to use cybersex to see if we are compatible, not the main course.

What do I think of people who show up on message boards, and ask to be told what to do?

Generally speaking, it strikes me as a lazy, fantasy laden HNG (Horney Net Geek) excuse for exploring BDSM. It shows no origionality, and leaves the impression that the person asking for such treatment is so desperate, that they will accept "orders" from *anyone*... which isn't very smart, which causes me to question the person's intelligence. I also tend to look at those who post such statements as being selfish "users", in that they are more interested in getting off on being told what to do, than actually putting a Lover/Dominant's needs, desires and wishes ahead of their own.

I do recognize not everyone is able to fulfill their BDSM desires and interests, and some choose coping mechanisms or decide to begin their exploration online. I have no issue with such things; however (IMO), there are many better ways to explore such things than by asking complete strangers to tell one what to do.

I think the OP's original message is:
"what do we think of these supposed virgin newbies shooting a PM, email, or instant message to us, asking to be dominated"

in case anyone was not clear.

I agree, it shows laziness, and a general misunderstanding of the BDSM lifestyle (however one chooses to live it)

The whole role-playing gig is pretty much a separate entity. They don't deserve judgment any more than any other sub (no pun intended) culture. Hell, if you divided the bdsm personals into online Vs real life the online would be about 75%. If not more. Let them have their fun. If people wanted to pretend to be gay I don't think the "real" gays would be upset. Who really gives a shit?

I don't really have a problem with people who choose to role play online - I don't understand it, but whatever floats your boat and all that. I do get annoyed by certain approaches to how people play online, because IMO it contributes to the HNG mentality. Some days (like today) when I'm particularly grumpy, I comment on it; most days I try to sit on my hands.

It is spinning out of control now compared to 5 years ago. I try to do my part to educate when I can, but I can't save the world. Now that I'm looking (again) it's almost humorous at times. I think that's the key. You just have to laugh because it's not going away.

I must say it seems rather strange to me that people would find a need to berate a thread starter like this. It seems like if you don't like it, then don't even post. Do you think you own the board or something, just because you have been posting here for a while? Just my thoughts. I guess maybe I don't know how it works.

I think people like that only want cybersex. Plain and simple.

There's nothing wrong with virgins. They're no different from anyone else and I don't know why other people would want to make them feel inferior. ;)

Cutie, I normally love your posts to death, but there is no way this post is a personal ad. The poster is asking what people think about something he has heard and has a question about.

We realize that NOW, but we didn't realize it when the initial question was posted. The OP had to go back and edit his post to make it clear. Read all the posts, and you'll see that we're not so obtuse that we didn't eventually figure it out.

Ok, cool. I can't see the original post now if it's been changed. I was wondering why the answers did not seem so related to the original post.

I am very much a newbie here, and have learned much from reading and "lurking" in the wings. If there was a particular subject I was interested in, one would surmise that this site has something for everyone (just like Disneyland). You just need to take the time and look. A post as the one in question is some poor attempt to get an unsupecting person to reply so he/she can get their jollies via e-mail.

BTW..nothing gets me off like a good credit card offer in the mailbox!!! My kind of cyber.
