Illustrators Hangout

Hey, welcome back Rhino, I was wondering where you were? Sure, come out to the states and don't say hello.

I like super cat.

Who knew about "writing to an illo?"

And if you move it to the GB it'll be missed here. You may want to, though, it seems to me you might thereby attract more contributors.

It seems to be an incredibly lengthy process to get an illo up in the index page under "Erotic Illustrations" and I notice you have not done that.

Care to explain why? Or did you submit a year ago, and are still waiting?

ps that handwarmers piece is special, kid. Love it greatly.

that's a pisser

Not been updated in years.
I was really hoping otherwise, the size-and-weight limits in the attachments are really very stringent. The posted illos seem to be full size.

Crap. Well, I'd love to say I'll take on a couple of your illos for writing purposes but I do my own and uh...

I like McKenna, I'm glad she came through that way. I like wildsweetone, too, but she hasn't posted here lately.

Your wash accents and shadings are sometimes very effective. That thigh in the handwarmers piece is so expressive and simple, Picassoesque; and it's partly because the wash isn't on it. If you follow me. The wash in the cleft of the girl's back in the "spanning" pic just makes it, dude.

Thanks.

Knowing that makes these that much more interesting. I know those pens, I used to hate 'em. The Schmere takes place accidentally even w/o the Lick altogether too often, so I don't even write casual notes with them.

This thread makes me have to re-evaluate, though.

It also explains the Picasso thing, the unfussed-with commitment to the line.

I congratulate you. I would never have had the balls to retain the rollerballs in my hand with a live model right there, and time a'wastin.

The concept of enticing authors to write "to" an illustration has also seemed to have fizzled. Though Wildsweetone wrote a wonderful piece and Mckenna's short piece was also inspiring...there have been some hopeful promises as well. yes, i am greedy....i want more!

Should this thread be on the General board?

rhino

Hi Rhino,

Glad to have you back. :)

One hopeful promise reporting. I was delayed due to some doubts that had to be cleared about the illustrations and also about something in RL. Now I'm on to it. You'll see it soon. :)

GB! No!
