You're really good, cantdog. I'm confused though what you mean by the submissions vanishing. Did you submit them by themselves to Lit? I know there's categories for illustrated stories and illustrated poems, but I don't think there's a category just for illustrations, though.

Yeah, there seemed to me to be one. On the "Story.Index" page, you can scroll down to the Adult News thing, where there's always ten news links.

Just south of there, there's Amateur Pictures, which is photo sets from site members, and then Erotic Illustrations, or some such name as that.

There you will find a group of maybe twelve or thirteen drawings and computer art images. These are accompanied by a little link tellintg you to submit to the site. When you click that, you get a fill-in-the-mail form and you attach the files to an e-mail sent to submit@lit.

So like I did that, y'know.

I put thirteen files and more in there, and they do not generate a ripple on the "Submissions" page, nor have they been posted in the little list of illos yet, either. I suppose the "illos" section isn't really very central to what goes on here.

But of course. It is a laborious thing to scan and then adjust the pixel size and file size to be able to include them in a post. The board rejects too big a file, and I reject too small a file, because you lose so much detail!

But I'm doing it, and digging it. I'm willing to illustrate people's stories if they'd like, too. Think about it and PM me.

Thanks for the explanation, CD. When I first came to Lit I scrolled all the way down and took a look around, but since then I've stuck to the stories. Didn't even realize illustrations were down there.

Some are actually drawn that way. I ought to re-scan and put in some contrast and whatnot.

The eye perceives more subtle differences than the software. Some of them were done on coarse or colored papers and it confuses the scanner.

I can't afford a real photo-editing program so I'm stuck with blanket transformations like "Contrast" and "Brightness." Each such step degrades the image and loses detail. All they can really do is suggest what the actual drawing or whatever it is would look like if you held it in your hand.

I'll do better if I can.

Hello, hello, hello, welcome to al the new artist additions and to the older ones that have been wandering around.

I haven't been able to get back to the art thing for awhile now ( ), but hopefully soon. Car is giving me a long and expensive headache, but so far at least I have found out that body rust and rot goes down better with catsup D ).

I hope to have some stuff up by Sunday, hope there will still be people around.

Until then, here's a scan of a rough draft for a drawing of a cd album a friends was going to buy. The album was called Firestone, so this woman pictured would be hold a magical crystal which was to be aflame.
