Illustrators Hangout

rhino -
I love the Illustrator's Hangout and have missed it lately! Great to see some new drawings. As always, they are wonderful. I really enjoy them. I especially like the surreal dream one.... wow.

McKenna... very nice story to go along with the last drawing.

Rhino, :rose:

Sometimes words just cannot express feelings. When I look at a drawing of yours, it is as if I am seeing the model. Your outlines and shading make up the model I can see. How wonderful it is to be able to see something, change it into a drawing on paper and have another person look at it and see it exactly as you have.

Like sailorm, I love it when this thread zaps up.

Please keep sharing when you have the time. :)

I have a tough time with SOME of my own work to step outside of that and look objectively.

This is interesting. I have found that I can step outside of my writing, given a goodly amount of time, but with drawing... I've yet to discover how to do that. I can look back at artwork I did five years ago and it still feels like 'my baby'. Time doesn't give me distance with art. I wonder why that is.

Rhino, those last two drawings are exquisite. If it means anything, the composition of the body and its focus is brilliant, to me anyway.

Rhino, I absolutely love these window scenes and can clearly envisage just such a building in Snippettsville.

May we please use them to illustrate some 600 word stories?

If some of the windows have been used by other authors, is it possible to slightly alter a detail (say a plant) in order for the SG to use them?

Fantastico! You've set my brains pinging about Rhino, thank you for that.
