Okay, folks

*Hopefully* I won't be getting sick again--bronchitis is a bitch! It's all allergy related though--all this lovely stuff I've never been exposed to since I moved to TN! With a daily dose of anithistamines, I should be okay and have no more relapses, (*crosses fingers*).

Please bear with me while I get caught up with the thread and see where everyone's at. I'm looking forward to getting back in the game.

Welcome back E. Good to hear you're feeling better.

As for what's going on, Becca, Jay, and Elmhand are fighting a massive monster that is several feet taller than Elmhand, and Elmhand is 20 feet tall (18 feet from ground to top of the head). The thing is covered in spikes, possesses magic but prefers the hands-on approach to killing, and is currently very pissed at Elmhand. The two of them have entered into melee combat. At the moment, Elmhand is the underdog.

Jay tried crushing the Night Stalker's tail under his hooves, but instead impaled himself on a spike, then got flung off. The Night Stalker then hit him with some magic, but that had the effect of transforming Jay into a fire horse and pissing him off. The Night Stalker had tagged Jay as the biggest threat when Jay had transformed, but then a boulder crashed into the Night Stalker's head, bringing its undivided attention upon Elmhand.

At the moment, Becca is safe. Hopefully, she can help out in the fight.

So, that's what has happened in a nutshell. Fun times.

Most of the time people don't see backstories that creators create simply because they're not exposed to it. But this time, I had an opportunity to describe some back story with the Stalkers. I thought I'd just put in they didn't have genitals... and then I realised you'd most likely want to know why. So there it is. That's why

At least tell me that they have at least one bundle of nerves somewhere that Elmhand can hit that would somehow incapacitate the Night Stalker, sorta like the bundle of nerves that is in the armpit of humans. How else can Elmhand damage the Night Stalker? He doesn't have any weapons except to grab a tree or pull up a boulder and smack the Night Stalker with it.

I'm sorry Jedi, but if I told you that, I would be allowing meta-gaming. I have't given any hints to anyone else and that wouldn't exactly be fair. But don't worry... there are ways to defeat the Stalker. Simply look at my posts when I describe them. Most if not all the information you need is there. And those aren't necessarily the only weapons you have.

Of couse, Wolfsister. We all know that you would never abandon your Illusion Vale, as long as there is at least one other person still interested.

I'll give what Elmhand does next some thought and then post later.

Anyways, I'm doing well. Busy, but well. I unfortunately have two papers due tomorrow, one first thing in the morning, the other later in the evening. Happy days.

Wolfsister, how very interesting that you should throw a curiosity at me just as I did you. But your curiosity leaves me wondering what you mean. So, I'll just ask: what do you mean by "Magick, Weapons, and Death"? Oh, and I wasn't expecting the queen to come forward at all with her own game; I was expecting her to say something along the lines of "What do you have in mind?"
and I would follow up with detailing what I had in mind.

Anyway, I left the games of chance to you. I never actually specifically said what the game would be as Eeth would be the one to name and explain them. I simply put in my terms, seeing as those will be the terms anyway, no matter what the game is.

Oh. Um, yeah I had something totally different in mind.

In fact, what I had in mind is sorta like Watto's chance cube from Star Wars Ep. 1 - "Blue, the boy. Red, his mother." That sorta thing. Instead for what I had in mind, the first game would be a coin toss, with one side being a battle with no magic allowed (first person to use it forfeits the match), and the other being the battle with magic. No wager, just the options. Similar deal with the second game of chance, except with three choices.

I figured as much, however Ilandria is used to 'wagers' on outcomes of games. She has no concept of what you propose. Besides, do you think the Queen who was bent on your destruction would allow you all the choices? I'm simply using her character and what she would do.

As well... I was doing as well as I could with the information you gave. If I change my post now, it will effectively be 'metagaming'. Something all RPer's should avoid.

I'm sure that you're a good enough writer that you will make Eeth's intentions clear. Don't worry too much about my writing, what will be effective is how you counter what I wrote

All you really need to do, is express what you want.

I think it would be a great way to assert Eeth's character over Ilandria's. Afterall... there is no guarantee you will live through this.

One more thing, how were you going to call the outcome of these games? I would be (naturally) biased with my plotline and character and you would be with Eeth's.

So... how were you going to 'call' it? Once it was done and explained to Eeth's satisfaction, that is.
