. . . even as good stories and morals.

Most historical records will show that there was a man "Jesus" at the time recorded of the biblical stories of Jesus.

To the Christian Jesus is the Christ, the Messiah, The Lamb, the Son of God and other religious titles preluding to old testament prophecy.

To the Christian Jesus is Lord. To those outside christianity he is just a man. To that end only christians can use his teachings without contradicting thier inward fiath/belief system. For anyone outside of christianity it would be quite illogical to accept anything that Jesus said even as a good moral tale coming from a good man.

Why, you might ask? Glad you did, I am bored and feel like explaining.

Jesus proclaimed himself to be God by many of his claims. And to the Jew particularly by using the words "I AM" in his his description in the book of John 7 times. Also many times He took credit for doing things that in the Old Testament God took crdit for thus claiming equality or oneship with God. To The Christian this is accepted as the mystery of the Triune{Trinity} Godhead was revealed through out the old testment and Jesus just fulfilled. So thus Christians Accept Jesus as Lord.

By these same claims those outside christianity would call Jesus a liar, Jesus was just a man like you or me, He was not God claiming to be so makes him a liar. And like a liar you cannot trust anything they have to say so thus, anything that Jesus had to say taught in the New Testament would be wholly untrustable because he was/is a liar.

Also the view that Jesus was a lunatic, maybe he was a o year Todd read a little to much Old Testament, got a few visions of grandeur in his head and got himself a God complex going on, just a little touched. and nobody would/should ever accept any advice from a lunatic no matter how good it may sound.

So there you have it Only christians are able to glean anything from the stories, parables, teachings and life of Jesus because they view Him as Lord. Any one who does not accept Jesus either places him in the catergory of liar, for claiming to be God, thus negating any of his teachings, parables, stories, or lifestyle in thier life as too untrustworthy to glean from. If Jesus is not the Lord and not the Liar, then he must be placed as Lunatic then once more negating the use of his teachings, parables, stories, and lifestlye as fits of mental illness unusable by them.

You omitted my possibility Todd...

I simply see him as another collectivist who spouted his beliefs and amassed a large throng of followers who chose to believe his musings rather than work on a rational philosophy of their own.

It's always easier to believe than it is to think.

I've never met anyone that wasn't a liar - maybe he was just really good at it.
So, tell me why I can't say that an old woman who gives what little she has is more charitable than a rich man who gives a great deal but only because he have all that and more to spare.

Todd......

In Islam...Esu{Jesus} is a pbuh{Prophet} His teachings have merit and are considered,but he IS NOT considered the son of Allah{God} in Islam.....but...he is considered 1 of the top 5 of the major prophets,His parables are in the Holy Koran,as is the story of his birth,and yes...in Islam he was born of a virgin.

Islam means "One who follows Allah{God}

Muslim means "A man who loves Allah{God}

Does that help?

Oh, and your title says 'Illogical reason why anyone not a Christian can't use Jesus teaching...'
Which means the writer of your piece has already admitted that it's illogical.
