Pottery is not my thing; plus it's too high-maintenance and it breaks easily.

It's definitely not a cheap art. You need the proper space and ventilation just for starters. Kilns aren't a cakewalk to own, either. You need to know your clay types, it ain't all just dirt and water. And it's super messy. I'm not a big fan of the clean-up. :D

But it's fun and I do miss doing it. Ain't no pro, though. Am constantly amazed at some of the craft that the dedicated artists put out.

I had a very small potters wheel when I was young. It was very messy, I loved it though....wonder what ever happened to that. It was for a young person, the clay was formulated so that it could be baked in any oven. Made me think I would actually have a real one some day...but I guess I grew out of that notion...
