However, if we're going down this path, why is that pregnant women aren't charged with child endangerment if they smoke, are alcoholics or do drugs? After all, all that stuff is going straight to the kid, giving a greater than likely chance of being deformed, mentally inhibited or other birth defects.

I don't see the anti-choice folks yelling at pregnant smokers or wanting to have pregnant drug users charged with attempted murder.

My heart stopped twice when I was born and my parents were told I'd be a vegetable, they chose to disconnect me from life support. I did not die.

My mom's immune system tried to kill me - Rh- to my Rh+

Yeah, pretty sure I do.

Because life sucks, bb. It's hard, it's harsh, people are expected to make impossibly difficult choices about their bodies from cancer to childbirth.

Pregnancy itself is dangerous enough to have accounted for lots of deaths on its own, mother and child. Babies have killed "women" an awful lot. Deal with some reality.

Pregnancy is a transformation women should not have to go through if they choose not to, and if that means a potential child dies, then yes, that means a potential child dies. Abortion will happen no matter what, it should happen safely.

I don't like it, I'm not happy about it, but I'm not happy about cancer either, I didn't get a vote in the shakedown run of the human body.
